People of Vesper, I realise a great many of you have grown tired of the confusion at the top in the past weeks. It is well known that an organisation which does not act atrophies as cold blood festers in unused sinews.

To that purpose I believe a set of tasks should be imposed upon the Militia, especially of the Partisan and Firebrand destinctions for the training of mind and body.

1. While some say we are in the middle of high summer, such will not last forever. Autumnal rains and winter snows already howl down from the Mountains of Avarice atop our fair and peaceful republic, whether folk be in cities, villages or the provinces. It is clear that we requireth a new selection of furs for the creation of fur boots and cloaks to fend off these freezing rains.

It has also been reported that the number of bears within our provincial forests has expanded off late. It would thus be most useful if these bears could be put to the sword and their hides taken for the services within the Vesperian republic. Doing so may gather greater influence with your Baron, despite the complaints of an increasingly overwrought Captain.

2. The Covians have become increasingly lax in recent times in dealing with their own troubles. Their fetid and uncared for cemetary, a haven for those who practice the dark arts, continues to spill forth undead onto our pleasant roads and pastures. It is believed that a coven of liches, escaped from their tombs atop the Avarice mountains, are responsible.

The Baron would thus desireth a party of Vesperians to go forth to this cemetary and put an end to this menace for a time. Slay the Liches and any other undead that are found in the area. Should the deviant Covians be found, deal with them as you will. The Baron suspects even his deranged Captain would appreciate this service.

3. While our campaign against the Avatarians continues in jumps and starts the Baron hath decided the time has come to launch a proper and notable assault. For such groundwork must be done.

In this regard it is desired that a group of Vesperians travel by road or by boat to the shrine of Justice taking with them maps to gather the lie of the land. It is believed that his shrine is a holy place to the Yewish foe and so it may be defended. Engage at your own discretion but the return of those maps is most paramount before any attack can be attempted.

Images demonstrating proof of the deeds would be most appreciated and those who show themselves resolute and worthy in the cause of the Republic shall reap the rewards of promotion, influence and power.

Aye, I will lend me axe and strong arm to defeat the lichkin from atop this mountain. Though I will need some good brother in arms to come with me as I know not the lay of the land, as I come from afar.

With the lichkin slewn, the evil that pours from the Cove graveyards should slow to a drizzle of what once was a flood of steamy bags of old death drifting out of those grounds.

With that done, our forces should be able to more easily slip unnoticed into our enemies abode of Cove, to gather intelligence and then possibly a full scale attack to cleanse those practitioners of wile witchery from our lands.

As for the Shrine of justice, as long as I still live after facing the wretched kings and queens of the undeath, I shall be honoured to serve my Lord and join the infilitration force.
