This has always been my deepest desire.
Players controlling existing city buildings.
Or better, Guilds controlling existing cities.
NPC vendors can still wander around - but the rest is player contoled: decoration & personal vendors.

Then players will TRUELY INVEST time & love in their cities.

UO Cities are always empty except for Brit Bank...
How boring!
Breathe some life back into the cities!
Make them bustle!

I agree. I always thought that they should have incorporated that into factions (still plays broken factions) I think it would breath new life into a broken worn down system and give a real reason with huge reward for pvp.

I have always liked the idea of UO allowing one to rent a room in town as being your own in one of the houses or inns within towns. Like stables, until you use a "resign" function, so much would be deducted from your account for the use of this place. If you have no gold any longer, you sign back into the game to find you and your stuff out on the street.

That would be cool. Besides, it wouldn't definitely bring most of the towns back to life. I would trade in my nice place for such a spin any day, just to see the cities thriving again.

I say just blow up luna! muhahahahaha.
I'd love to get just one influential Dev and one marketing rep in a room with 10 or so UO players with a wide diversity of play styles.... lock the door...give em fire suits and pen and paper and make them really listen to us.

I'd like to see Luna implode! Now that Magencia is rubble it would be nice if players could place houses there, maybe bring back the banker and see what kinda shops pop up. Id give up my house and deal with moving all my junk for a house there it would be nice!

That would be something. Rebuild Magencia, and let players bid on the houses already in place. You would have to give up any other property owned in order to secure a house there, and you pay by gold deduction from your bank on a monthly basis.

Yeah Tor I hate to say thats true, another Luna bleh! I still miss the days of hopping from Brit to Moonglow to see who was hanging out. Back in the day before Tram when monsters roamed the cities and people would recall in screaming GUARDS! hehe infest Luna! That might be fun, the Reaper at halloween a cpl years ago was hilarious!

LOL I remember when people would gate deamons from Hyloth to west brit bank.....and watch all the ppl scatter. That was the best! I was in the harpy room one night with my guild and someone gated in a bunch of deamons and we were all newbs...the death was swift!
