Long ago while I was unfamiliar with items I purchased the armor Violet Courage but was rather saddened when I could not equip it for I was not a paladin. As most items display requirements ("Elves only" or "Strength 95", for example) I would have ALL items show such ("Paladins only", "Evils only", or whatever else the limitation). Some shards long for new faces and greater populations. When they figure out how to gain numbers new players will have plenty of chances to make mistakes on their own; let's not set them back by having them spend their first 100k gold ever on something they can't use because they may think restrictions of an item would be shown as on every other item they saw up to that point.
I still have that lovely armor on a table in my basement. OOhh I suppose i could get a vendor and put Violet Courage up for sale but I like looking at it as a reminder of a mistake to never make again.

Wow, and here I was, thinking that all items DID have all requirments on them. Thanks for the heads up, i'll be sure to do a little looking before making and big time purchases.

As far as I know there is no requirement to be a paladin to wear any piece of armour. There is however one to be female to wear a female plate armour, which applies to the Violet Courage.

My tamer wears Violet Courage and she has no chiv. There is some armor that is female only. Barbed Shorts, Female Plate, and some other random ones I can't think of (leather skirt maybe?)
