Our Guild was in desprete need of leather for the uniforms of the new recruits. I stepped into Despise, it was strange how different it felt from when i was fighting here only a few hours earlier with my guildmates.

I took a deep breath and heard it echo around the cavern walls, a cold chill crept up my spine as i walked the darkened corridors. I headed around a corner and came face to face with a lizardman, in all honesty i dont know who was more startled myself or the creature.

I unsheathed my blade and swung at the monster, hitting it several times before it managed to get a hit in and catch me, i was not defending myself properally i am still quite new to the ways of the warrior and had let my guard down. I hit the monster several more times before it let out a bloodcurdling noise as it fell to the floor, its skull hitting against the stone floor.

I took several bandages out from my rucksack and wrapped them around the wound the creature had caused, it took several attempts as i have only recently started learning the art of healing.

I quickly pulled a dagger from my bag and cut the skin from the creature, using my scissors i shaped it into useable pieces for our Guild.

I carried on walking feeling rather proud of myself when i came across the lair of the beast i had just slain. It was then i realised that the one i had just slain was only the watchman. The sheer number of reptiles took me by surprise and i stepped backwards into a sticky cobweb, i let out a scream but quickly covered my mouth to stiffle it. I was just glad that the maker of the cobweb was not around!

I stood at the entrance to the lair and watched for my time to strike, several of the beast walked down another exit to the lair leaving only three others behind. I dont know if it was overconfidence but i ran it there my sword high in the air. One of them looked at me and started to walk towards me, with several hits i knocked his head clean off! as the other two ran towards me. I parried well for earlier in the day i had learnt alot about this skill, using the shield to block and making safe hits with my sword. After what seemed like an eternity both of the creatures hit the floor with a sickening thud.

For a brief moment i felt guilty before i realised it was either lives or mine. Again i skinned these creatures putting the hides into my backpack. And i lay in wait for the other monsters to return. I hit behind a rock and surprised the creatures lashing out at them before they realised what was going on.

After several strikes the creatures lay slain, and again i gathered their hides and placed them into my backpack. At this point i used the bandages to cover the scratches that these beasts had inflicted upon me, and stumbled out of Despise the hides as my trophy. I just wish they hadnt weighed as much as they did.
