When I was younger, it was definitely not "cool" to be smart, so I used to think I'd give up half my smarts to be one of the pretty girls. Now... no way. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but that's well within my control. I appreciate my brains, and thank heaven for them! (It doesn't really make sense that "brains" is plural here, but it sounds weird as a singular - but make no mistake, I have only one brain). |
