King said it perfectly.........a nice dinner, good conversation and I always offer to pay. I don't come out and say it, but I always reach for the bill or automatically take cash out of my wallet. I'd never go dutch, I'd pay it all if he didn't. A good night kiss is always a nice way of ending the date.

I can't get all serious like that, I would be so nervous I would be knocking stuff all over me. Hopefully movies and pizza or something easy like that so we both can be relaxed!

Intelligent conversation that goes both ways. Laughter is important!
Where we go isn't so important... a walk by the lake, for a coffee, something low pressure.
Money isn't important either, but I don't like when a guy starts flashing around a lot of cash like I am supposed to be impressed.
Maybe a kiss goodnight afterwards... depends if I will see him again or not. If not, no kiss.

Well lets look at this from a slightly different perspective ... the parent

The dating rules in Vepl's house where:

1. Boy ask daughter out.
2. Daughter says "Yes" and "You will have to talk to my dad before we can go out"
3. Daughter and Date have the "Talk" with Dad

The "Talk"

Dating is for finding someone you want to marry. Since I believe that the man is the head of the household, you as the man will be responsible for the dating relationship. You are wanting to date my daughter she is very precious to me. All the following rules are based on those two facts.

A. Drinking, prefer that you don't drink but if you do. Call me to come get you both and you can continue to date my daughter. If I find out you have been drinking and driving with my daughter you will never date her again.

B. Drugs, they are illegal don't use them. If you do, call me to come get you both. It will depend if you can continue to date my daughter. If I find out you have used drugs and drove with my daughter you will never date her again.

C. Sex is for after your married. If my daughter becomes pregnant you will take responsibility for your child.

D. You will not date alone or double date until I say. One (or more) of her sisters, youth group or parent will accompany the two of you on each "date". You will let us know where you are going and for how long. If the plans change you will notify Beloved or myself. (footnote: Wanted this rule to be in effect until they where forty or so. Couldn't convince Beloved that that was a good idea

)

E. My daughter is a Lady treat her as such at all times

4. Daughter and Date agree to the rules
5. First date continues as planned with sister(s) along
