I've had no fewer than 2 long term relationships end for that very reason. Sigh. Resent is an ugly, ugly thing. Anyone know any single guys who DON'T have self confidence issues??! *still looking*

We each have our own destiny to fulfill. The fun part of a relationship is trying to grow as an individual and also grow as a couple. Easy to say, hard to do.

My ex-husband was. Then again, if you have read any of my past posts where I mention him, you know he was an abusive control freak, so I hope he isn't the norm.

I have no idea. What about opposites tho? When women now have the opportunity to do just as well as men, are women intimidated if their man does better than they do? I'm not. Altho if my man and I were in the same field of work, that might change because I am competitive.

I have seen it personally, men frustrated/intimidated by a womans success. I doubt the reverse is true for many simply because most of us are brought up to believe the man is/should be the breadwinner.

I don't know one man who is intimidated by a woman in regards to her profession. I have one gf who is a dr and one who is a lawyer and their husbands couldn't careless....... think the older you are people don't really care about that as an issue.
