How do you (or will you) discipline your children?

If they get out of line, just give em a little shake.

Depends on the situation...if Matthias (16 months) is doing something we just dont want him to do its usually "No" once normal voice, an then again stern. If hes stil attempting it, I have him look me in the eye and say No while shaking my head and say why like "No. Thats not nice." or "No, Owen (2.5 mos) doesnt like it when you drop things on his head."

If hes doing something actually dangerous it usually escalates to level 3 right away.

The biggest thing is to not givve in and let them do something after youve told them no just because they are unhappy. Thats when they get the idea that if they act unhappy enough, they will get their way...

Now that the kiddo is older, she gets grounded. If her crime is severe enough, she will get grounded from the computer, and have all her electronic toys and gizmos taken away.

When she was younger, she got time outs. The worst punishment in the world to her was being made to stand facing a corner.

Several different ways. Mostly dependant on what makes the punishment necessary in the first place.

Atleast, that's what I think I understood from those parenting books I read. I probably should have done more than skim over most of it, but it did metion Positive Re-Inforcement so I think I'm doing it right.
