Have you ever given some one or received an engagement ring before?

Twice engaged, never married.

The first guy turned into a drug addict lunatic (last I heard, he had just gotten back from Minnesota where he moved to attempt to live life in the wilderness and is now living in a halfway house). (Yeeeeeup! I know how to pick 'em! C'mon, I was 19 at the time.....) I caught the 2nd one cheating on me before we made it down the aisle. That was 9 years or so ago.

I thought I was going to marry my most recent ex. We were together 3 years, but he wasn't ready to commit and I wasn't willing to wait on him any longer. It's either right, or it isn't. He was 33 and I was 31 so it's not like we were too young.... whatever... we're still friends.

I received one with my 1st serious relationship, things didn't work out (because he was crazy..........) gave him the ring back and moved home to take care of my mom.
Was engaged about a year and half ago. Went home to apply for our marriage visa and he changed his mind :sad5:

I swear I'm not bonkers! I guess its better to know now then later...

In my high school it musta been the thing to do..... of course that was a different time and a different world. Kinda funny thinking back, the man I did marry never gave me a ring.

Been married once, but didn't get an engagment ring, just a wedding ring.

Gotten a few engagement rings since then. Didn't keep any of them lol. Actually, just the sight of a couple of them made me run for the hills.
