Not at all. If youre stuck in an unhappy relationship, your options are alot less than if you were unhappily single...

You can't be a good partner to someone until you're a good friend to yourself, and being alone is the very best way to get to know yourself. You really have to learn how to be happy both alone and with someone else to truly appreciate both sides. I know I've had zero success with guys who haven't spent any time alone.

I'm almost too good at being alone

Staying in a relationship solely to not be alone is one of the worst reasons to stay.

That and it can be an unhappy relationship, bad relationship, very bad relationship, etc., all the way to WTF are you doing together relationship, where as there is only 1 level of being alone that I can think of.

I have been happily divorced for 11 years. I would never stay in an unhappy relationship. Life is too short to be miserable.

I've had fun being out of relationships. I can go where I want, and when, and with who. I can date people without someone having a hissy fit. I can do all those fun single things.

Now that I am back in a relationship, maybe that's why I am so apprehensive about it. It's going good so far, but I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
