It is not mandatory to create a new character for joining the Britannia Guards, but it's recommended.
However, there are a few rules regarding what looks and skills you character should and should not have:

• Your character must have a good name. We do not allow characters with copied names from books or films.
• Your character must have a good-standing karma.
• The follow skills are banned from LB:
  • Necromancy
  • Poison
  • Snooping
• Your character cannot be of a typically evil race, such as a drow, an orc or a vampire.
• You must have you'r skills visible at the MyUO character profile. What is MyUO?
