![]() | The playhouse beckons... I was speaking with Tatiana earlier about the possibility of another play, and with the success of the previous one, we are quite eager to work on another (they are so much fun!). There are quite a few things we could do, but I imagine other people have some ideas on an overall theme for another play, paxlair or chesepeake related (I'm not as familiar with the history as other people so input is essential!). I'm not sure what the theme would be, so all ideas are welcome! The thought was then, after a theme has been chosen, those who wanted to, could collaborate on a script, or just submit their own script entirely and we'd see where we'd go from there. Rehearsals and stuff would be worked out later! What are your thoughts? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The playhouse beckons... The plays are EXCELLENT and have always had raving reviews; even receiving invitations to do the same plays on other shards. Here's some topics that come to mind: - Orcs vs Elves (based on some recent history) - A Poor Farmboy becomes the King (new fictional) - Much Ado about Nothing (based on Shakespeare) - Quest of the Golden Goblet (new fictional) - Evil Princess and the Fox (new fictional) I could probably help as a Playwright, but I like to "watch" the play myself. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The playhouse beckons... Taltos, this is magnificent! I've always thought, and it's been proven by Tatania and other "actors", that great plays can be conducted in the Realm. Such plays can even go "on the road". Some plays require stage-sets to be created (customized housing), while others could probably be done on any stage or even in the open field. There's LOTS of room for creativity AND with interest, I can build a "home page" for the plays / theatre company (a starting point is already made here). You know much better than I do about creating a play, so there are probably many steps. Perhaps if you outline some of these steps and timeline on how long each should take, that would be very helpful as a start too. Of course, much starts with play scripts/storylines/storyboards to be written, reviewed, shelved for the right time to "hire" actors, etc. Creating such scripts is much the essence of getting plays underway, and motivating people to get involved. How would you like to be involved with our small group on this? |
