Most of you by now know me pretty well and I guess im just a little upset about it.

Someone was let back into something. This person was booted because they went nuts once. The person apologized and well we all make mistakes.

So they re-joined and its been about two months now.

One of my very very good friends that I play with Daily and have for over 4years sends me an icq.

"Who let this person back in"

I replied. "You need to talk to (Blank) I do not tell them who they can and cannot add."

The next Q I get is

"I am pulling all of my characters right now."

What I say.

"Okay"

They say

"Okay Then"

So I give them a fond wave and move on with helping some Savages with golems on my tinkers.

(At the end it all got worked out so thats good.)

But I dont care who you are. If your... Neira and you say boot this person or im pulling all my characters. I will give you a wave goodbye I dont care how long ive known you.

Yes I know you know I have some pull here and there within PaxOku and its guilds and establishments but dont think that pulling your characters or threatening me is going to work in your favor. What you get is a Shut Ear from me and a goodbye Wave.

So in the future I guess if you have a problem. Dont tell me Im pulling my characters or else because ive been there and done that and fell into the Please dont pull your characters in the past in PaxOku and it hasnt worked out for any of us yet lol. I will say goodbye and Safe Travels.

So thats my gripe now I feel better cuz I kinda felt bad that I said Okay.

It's a hard thing to do, but when others do such a thing it is an attempt at emotional blackmail. I do not know the people involved, or at least I don't think I do. I am glad you did not condecend to their level though. And yes, "Do it my way or I'm quitting, leaving....etc." is a lower level of maturity than trying to work out the problem. This is just my opinion.

Well Gareth i love ya dearling darlin but i have to disagree. I think there are some instances where being in the same guild for someone could be REALLY bad.

Think you know the situation i'm talking about, but i've been in situations where it was either them or me because having contact with that person was just dangerous not just to my characters in game but offline as well. Some ppl just good to avoid out of necessity. There are such things as psychos and stalkers in this game (and i'm not talkign about character either but person behind the characters!).

Though my case was unique, and rare, it would completley depend on the situation and if it was just someone not likign another and not willing to give them another chance i'd say that was just being selfish and letting the other person win. If it was a matter of safety not just of characters but offline health (mental or physical) then i'd say should ahve brought that to everyone's attention and you might have been a little bit more well recieved.

Well I would like to think in harassment situations I would be a little more open eared then to other situations.

The problem was this person wasnt even in the same guild as the person let back in. They dont belong to the guild and they dont interact with the guild much. It is an alliance guild and a city guild of PaxOku.

Now yes in such cases as Harassment or something besides being completely unreasonable I would take it higher to Neira and if she couldnt solve it ultimately to Winfield for Advisement (Since he dont like to get in the middle)

But this was one of those child give me ice cream situations heh.

Not sure if it's amusing or sad, some ppl throw tantrums on here worse than my 2 year old and let me tell her she GOOD at it (my mom says she just like me.... lol).

We've had many years of great companionship in our community, cities, and alliance (mechanical alliance connections and non-mechanically connected allies). That's very impressive.

Gareth is right that I don't like to get into behind-the-character personality issues. BUT if any situation or anyone is out to exploit or destroy the fabric of our mutual community, cities, and alliance, I'll step right in and have done it before. If anyone is habitually harassing players (causing emotional harm to the person) behind the characters... that does get my attention right away too.

I've "pruned" the alliance list at times in the past working objectively with the Mayors and Guild Leaders. I even disbanded the entire PaxLair Alliance and restarted it a few years ago; that was drastic and necessary of course during some peculiar times. I don't think that will happen again.
