PaxLair 10th Anniversary (Jan 15-19, 2008) OOC Planning

We are expecting a HUGE celebration on January 15-19, 2008 for the PaxLair 10th Anniversary!! We have 4 cities active in some manner and each will have it's day, plus the PaxLair Statehood day of January 19, 2008.

What is planned? Oh... The options are endless!!! ...

Player-gathering in San Antonio, Texas, USA (including a cyber-party to connect to UO)
Online gatherings throughout the week!

All is still in the preliminary planning stages, but dates are SET !!

We will update this thread as we plan more information.

Hello there good people! I am helping my cousin plan her wedding anniversary party as well on January 20th. She and her husband will have been happily married for 6 years on the lands of UO and we feel that's also something to celebrate!

Everything is still very much in the planning stages. Some ideas include a story of your most memorable time in UO, net tosses, and/or an archery contest.

IF someone is already planning a Pax-related event in relation to the ideas listed above, please contact me and we may be willing to help with the work behind the scenes, or sponsor the prizes.

Congratulations on PaxLair's 10th year! (OOC: I'm glad I have been able to come and go for over half that time as well.)

I hope to time the reopening of the Mage Tower Library with the evening of PaxLair, Felucca's events that week. Once we get closer to that time, I will have to check my schedule to make sure that PaxLair Felucca's events are on a night that I can be there!

While I have been moved out of PaxLair, I have become a member of Dragon's Watch. I would like to participate or mayhaps even help to sponsor one of their events in the day or evening. Maybe I am not looking in the right place, but what day would be for their events, or has that not yet been decided?

I just updated the main Calendar event on the top of this thread. It lists the specific days for each city, which are:

Jan 16 (Wednesday) - PaxLair City
Jan 17 (Thursday) - Dragons Watch
Jan 18 (Friday) - PaxOku
Jan 19 (Saturday) - Anniversary Day - Several Locations

Greetings and thank you Winfield. The Crest will sponsor a story-telling contest on Friday the 18th. The theme of the contest "The Best Time on Chesapeake." This will be judged by my cousin, Lady Luana (Lu) Wilfair, who's sixth wedding anniversary falls on that Sunday. More details of time and where will be coming in the next week or two. Please get out your quills and parchments and start thinking on those stories!

I also thank Winfield for his reply. After discussion with my guildmaster, Lord NANOC, I shall be sponsoring an event called "Hit and Run" as an archery tournament, with a bit of a twist. It shall take place Thursday. I hope for it to take place twice in the day 4 pm and 7:30 pm EST, possibly a third time 11 am EST, so that all may participate. I have a couple locations planned, but I'm still looking about and exploring. Hope the archers of the lands are not intimidated by an elf in charge of one of their tournaments. Thank you!

I believe I should be available the evening of the 16th, for the PaxLair, Felucca events, so I will tentatively plan to have the grand reopening of the Mage Tower Library on that night, along with whatever else is going on in PaxLair City.
