Greetings from the Xix Clan
Greetings Chesapeakers! I met Phoenix, NANOC and a few other members of Pax and would like to join up. I'm a 58-month vet returning to UO with KR. I played on the Oceania shard for many years, but will be moving my characters over to Chesapeake, since everybody I knew on Oceania has long since moved on. Since I'm in Florida, the playtimes for Australia were a little silly, now that the folks I knew have gone.
You will know my Clan of characters because they all have "Xix" in their names (pronounced Zicks). The first member to move is Xix Killmore (moved him last night). He's my warrior: Swords/Anat/Tactics all at 110 Healing 90 Focus 91.8 Parry 40 Resist 49.1 Chiv 41.1 Lockpicking 78 Not sure whether or not I want to keep the lockpicking. Something about those locked chests -- I just hate to pass scavengeable loot by. But I'll probably drop it and raise the Parry/Resist. Successful lockpicking almost requires the use of telekinesis as well to get rid of those nasty surprises. ![]() I'll be looking for a housing plot that can take a Biggest Custom House and is near some good mining. My crafter (Xix Newsmith) is my favorite character to play. I'm a confirmed BODaholic. Getting all his BODbooks loaded up from Oceania was quite an ordeal, but I managed to squeeze them all in. With Mining, Smithing, Tailoring, Carp, Arms Lore and Tinkering, he doesn't have much left for any effective defense, so he doesn't like to stray too far from his forge. My other crafter is Magic Xix, my mage with GM Inscription and Alchemy. Over 100 Magery and Eval on him, 100 med, 57.6 resist (so far) and some archery and tactics. Then there's Xixette, a fencer/poisoner (it's just too much fun taking out Ogre Lords with a dagger ), Musical Xix the Bashing Bard (Peace, Provo and Macing ) and Xixelle (archer/fletcher -- the newest member of the Clan so not up to GM yet) to round out the Xix Clan. All should be moved over from Oceania within the next 6 days.I look forward to geting to know Pax and to contributing where we can to Pax activities and successes. ![]()

Re: Greetings from the Xix Clan
Welcome Xix Clan!!
A very impressive "group" you have there. It sounds like you may be interested in the following areas and working with the following people: Statehood Quartermaster Eoin Smithson - all about supplies, crafting, and helping our citizens, friends, and new/returning players to have the finest equipment for adventures, battles, and quests. Statehood Defense Minister Crypt Keeper - all about defense strategies (PvM and PvP), scenarios, missions, and teamwork. A fencer/poisoner would make some of the attack teams very capable of taking out the finest of monsters in the realm with few casualties. Each of the above areas work with all our cities. To become a citizen of PaxLair, you need to enter through one of our cities. That is, become sponsored by one of our Mayors. Our Mayors are:
Each city also has many positions, projects, and situations for you to jump into. Talk to the Mayors and their citizens. Join us in our activities and above all, have fun!! Also keep an eye on the UOForums Chesapeake Calendar where we publish our meetings and events. Welcome again! -- Player behind Winfield, Governor of PaxLair Statehood |

Re: Greetings from the Xix Clan
Well met Sir! And welcome to UOForums, Chesapeake and Paxlair. Check with Mayor Gareth of PaxOku, there may be buildable space up in the Oku Heights district, although not a prime mining spot.
If I can be of any help please let me know. Se'an
