Nice interview!

The Draconi zombies were really great, one of the best times I've had in UO. What was even better was when Drac slowly became totally corporeal, killing anyone standing near him instantaneously. :shocked:


....and yes to deep sea lizardmen.

Question for everyone.

What part of the interview did you find most informative or interesting?

I liked his list of 10 monsters and 10 wearables.

Ditto on the lists, lots of neat ideas there.

The thread begs for the question, when is BBQ sauce being introduced into the game? Can't wait to get a bottle of Ol' LB's Omgwtfbbqsauce.

Well, my feeling is that one can never have too many monsters in world, or too much sexy cool clothing in one's wardrobe - :grin:

Anyone remember Rei from Breath of Fire 3?

Sorry - the only Were-Tiger I know named "Quinn" is currently in Charlane Harris's, Southern Vampire Series. Heh - a lot like Anne Rice's work except everyone is mostly broke or just making ends meet like in real life.

1) We have heard from you that the "elves only tag" is one of your pet peeves, are there any plans on getting rid of it?

Not that I know of. Even though it is one of my pet peeves along with that “helmet swap” and I would love to
get into the code and normalize it – this sort of work falls into the Eng and Designer task list.

If you go look at CatHat's paintings on the UO ML site it's some good stuff. I especially like the dryad with the evil vorpal bunny with little sharp teeth.

Can't we take the artwork back towards UO Fantasy? The Donkey-headed Red-Dragon-Tailed Goat-Legged Bull-Horned Centaur/Pikachus are cool,
but if we elaborated on things like Orc outfits or Orc models, we could take some steps along the path towards a player race that isn't an abomination.

That art is for the Mondain's Legacy after all (well more or less my interpretation of it) - heh. A few liberties taken here and there. But yeah - i'm looking forward to opportunities to do more old school stuff for UO.

Sweet interview. I like Cathat's style-Open, honest, and a little in-your-face....

I like a lot of the ideas here, and the werewolves, thing-very cool. And the coat-oh yeah! Also more animal head-gear. And, of course, the Holy Grail of Crafting....Filled Bookcases for containers.....{dreamy sigh}......

Speaking of new items

The past few days i've been combing through, finalizing pieces found in the collection of new housing stuff thats going in the 9th anniversary box - Oo - some interesting stuff the contractors have been making with Grimm.

I'm really intersted to see what some of our communites hardcore housing designers can do with it.

As someone who's a fan of exotic/unusual clothing for casual wear - lol - I can certainly understand your appreciation of that little item.

But like i said, it just irks me that so many of the really old female outfits look more like baggy studded leather Moo Moos than actual tailored outfits a lady adventurer would wear. Couldn't see a tailor foolish enough to try to offer one of those to a woman who carries a sword for a living.

I Look forward to every opportunity I get to change/bring a little more style to the game for you all.

design us some cool new faction bases to play in!!!!!!!!! please?
Make new bases with cool new strategic locations like turrets tunnels and what not.
But make them out of the player housing zones.. factions wasnt meant to be who can hide in a house the longest

Hmm - they told me they were long Kilts.

I guess the Ruby spider sequence should have been a dead give away that the full lenght split leg battle gown -
was just the dark elf ladies having fun with a nieve surface dweller male.
