Brethren,

Yesterday we had a first, an elf who wished to join our Temple. I was surprised, I admit, and I was not at all disposed to grant him his request when we first met.

However, he did, over the course of an interview, convince me of the sincerity of his hatred for his own kind, and for the greivous sins they had comitted, and he wished to make amends. I therefore agreed to induct him into our brethren.

With Brother Martel and Sister Nighthawk on either side of me, I began the ceremony, asking him whether or not he would swear eternal servitude to our master. He swore. When I asked him if he would make the bond in blood, he agreed.

I was more and more surprised, and jubilant.



I gave the dagger to Brother Martel, telling him to cut the elf's left hand. Then I handed it to Sister Nighthawk, telling her to cut his right. Each time I asked him "Do you repent of the sins of your people?" and each time he responded that he did.

Finally, I made a cut on his flesh just above the heart, letting the blood run down his front, I gathered some in a bowl, asking him again if he repented of the sins of his people. Again he confirmed.



I poured his blood over his head, as a symbol of his cleansing from sin, then held his hands over the altar, letting his blood drip onto and and sealing the blood oath with the Dark King.



I gave him his new clothes, and welcomed him into the Temple Brethren, as did Brother Martel and Sister Nighthawk.



I must impress upon all of you. This elf is to be treated as one of our own, he has repented of his sins and has had them washed from him by his own blood. He is as pure in our cause as any one of us.

There will be grave penalties for any who treat him as anything other than a Brother.

An elf in the Temple, amidst the Brothers and Sisters, claiming to be one himself? Why not... but what if he's a spy? I shall keep an eye on him, yes I will...

*lays the report down, rubbing his chin*
