Respected members of the council :

This evening I ventured to Haven. The marked difference in landscape now both awes and terrifies me how quickly something can become unfamiliar.
While I was searching around the old town, I encountered Lord Taggart. He expressed his concern that a demon previously held there had gone. After a brief deliberation, we concurred that to alert townsfolk in the nearby new town of Haven would only serve to panic people more where so much disruption has already happened.

We took a cursory patrol of the boundary, and found no way in through the improvised barricades. Lord Taggart attempted the use of magic to enter, but it seems something is interfering and that, too, failed.

Noting the old docks still partly intact, we found it possible to reach the old docks - though the way was difficult with so many rocks and debris everywhere. From there we explored further. An innkeeper still faithfully tends his wares relatively undisturbed by the current inhabitants of the town. The moans and groans audible from outside seem to come from an assortment of trapped souls neither fully alive or dead. Rotting piles of food waste and debris litter the streets, and there is a prevalent air of decay.

As I returned to pen this note, Lord Taggart went to investigate things further with another Templar we met in the town of Haven.
