I had a look at uo.com, at the guild listings and it looked like pretty much all the knight guilds I used to know have little or no members left. Is this true?!

Hope there is still something of the Conclave or Chivalric Council left?

I miss you guys.

Was thinking I might start popping on every now and then. Does most of the RP lie with the big City guilds like BoC, Grd and -V- these days?

No,not really.Again, like before,it started off well, and after two three weeks,went pear shaped,till theres nothing left of it.

' Virtous/Chivalric Knights are just not the flavor at the moment in the game .

There isnt very much roleplay around,and rarely in towns,unless its spontaneous.

So if I was to mooch into game and have a peek around what is my best bet for finding people or something interesting to do?

SCT have a fair bit of rp stories ongoing - but at the moment its a bit on and off too because a few of us are out arti hunting having rediscovered the fun of fel hehe - might be the case with other rpers too

its also worth noting that whilst many of the knight guilds have vanished sadly or faded, SCT have the Shadow Order within the guild - headed up by Decardo. See our forums for info on that. So no all knights have vanished

Most things are posted here ,so yes there is still roleplay around,just not much going on in Vesper/Cove atm.

PLease dont get all defensive everyone.I kniow there are still people roleplaying and there are Knights around.I was just answering Kaeliths specific questions.

I would like to add Kaelith,there have been several attempts now,to pull the roleplay into tighter groups,but it just doesnt work.

I personally have tried this 3 times now with the Knights Council, and despite promises ooc of 'everyone behind the idea' it never lasts more than one or two meetings or events.

Deacrdo,yourself,and callumf ,I have spoken to ooc and we are all of the same mind to merge the Knights together in one guild,but its just never going to happen.

No one wants to give up their 'GM' status.

I on the other hand would gladly do this,as long as it was IC to my character,ie Tabbitha.

At the moment she has left Sosaria,to spread the word of the things to come in other lands.

I just got so disheartened by endless storylines started and never finished because people either left,or were to insular IC wise to put the past behind them really.

Grd refuse point blank to change to meet anyone elses ideas,and as Cherry said,with peoples on/off ability to logg in, its all sort of messed up at the moment.

I am in the process of organising some X shard stuff with Paxlair though, and there will be more posted on this very soon.

They are going to pop over this month as I have told them of our regular eventsb that happen ,and will bringing a 'delegation' to attend tavern meetings and other events that are held regularly.

Of course also as Cherry said,lots of folk are plundering the dungeons atm, as well, trying to get hold of the Virtue armour.

So keep your eyes peeled and I am sure Kaelith will find some RP ,even if its only to argue with Trinsic

thanks for all the replies! sounds like things have really died down since I was last around. But I'm glad people are still around enjoying themselves!

I've never been much for dungeon crawling, but the virtue armour was quite nice to collect.

maybe it would be nice to finally get involved in a SCT storyline line? I know I spoke about doing it for 5 years! but just never got around to it. I think my main interest is in storylines, wars and diplomacy. so maybe if i was to come back I'd have to rejoin a town again. Might see if the Baron Samsca could find a place for me

I think one of the problems in the past is that when guilds merge, the guild that moves into the new guild often loses members who dno't like the new guild, so you end up with the same number of people anyway! it's crazy.

Just think how close we got to forming that 1 knight guild though? ha! it's makes me wonder, what if even a couple of those GMs had joined us and made KOTC? what would have happened? what if Pelleus hadn't dissappeared just when the chivalric council was getting so good, in the beginning? We were so close! But it never happened and chances are we'll never get another chance.

So many what ifs

You know, with so few knights around maybe now is the prime time to just scrap your guilds and form KOTC and say, here we are, bloody well join us!

ofcourse there needs to be story around it and it needs to happen naturally. but maybe it's worth a shot? Might be just what some people needed? Especially if you publises it well. Put on shows, make yourselves seen. Have a nice simple website with a clear background and belief system in place. Just an idea. Nothing new really though...

I have never had a bad or boring RP experience with SCT,and would definately recommend you tag along with them on at least ONE occassion

Apart from the usual bickering no,though having said that,since Vesper were told to STOP ganking them, its gone deasdly,hehe.

Same old thing about folk wanting pvp all the time these days.

I tried to get a storyline off the ground over Olk being Baron.

The man is obviously mad as a hatter,and not only does he talk to his mushrooms,he has given them all names now .

I guess as long as Twoie isn't motivated to play UO though,Olk will remain as Baron

Well I thought I had pulled off a coup a few weeks back,when I was approached to merge with a guild.

I was thinking they wanted to make a new guild ie KOTC,but in actual fact,I was informed their GM wasnt ready to give up his guild,and my Order should merge with theirs.

It would just not of happened that Tabbitha would do that ,IC ,for many reasons,so it was a no go from the start.

I would love to see a 'Community' where we had an agreement,that all Knights woukld be in KOTC,all explorers in SCT ,etc etc.

No, nothing that hasnt already been done tbh.

Elliot spent hours putting together a website for KH as did Emery.

Ive arranged the 'usual' boring events and had no one turn up.

I would try again with the above ,but only if you came back to UO

I just havent got much ,solo,motivation at present,especially to get all fired up AGAIN for a 'Knights Council' but I do logg in for advertised events I can manage to be at from an IC purpose.

I had a lot of hopes pinned on KR but I guess we will have to wait a bit longer.

If you want to logg in though one night,I have a little 'plot' to carry out,which will involve travelling to SCT territory.

Kaelith could come along,and that would be a perfect IC reason to be at their guildhouse etc.

Have to let me know though .

Hello there, it's good to see you're doing okay, Kaelith. I'm pretty sure others can give summaries on how things are going right at the moment. Lately I've had too much on my hands to be able to get involved with anything lengthy.

I find a lot of comments so far in this thread contradicting themselves, but I'll leave those for now. That wouldn't be any productive.

Regarding Tabbithas idea about the community having an "agreement": I'm not sure that would work. There is after all differences between guilds. I agree that it might seem like a good idea now that we're in a down-period, but I simply think it will solve itself. I think once you manage to establish a knightly guild like you've sketched out so far, and it becomes the most popular and likely guilds to join, you've got pretty far. I think people need to see actual proof that this guild is really the thing to go for.

As for the Knights Conclave: I see it as a good foundation for building better bonds between guilds, which I consider the most important part of its existance. Secondly, I see it as a good starting point for forging a loyalist bonds. I realize that not all guilds present so far sees it that way, but I nevertheless hope that it in someway, perhaps indirectly, could help creating a more uniform kingdom, as well.

On to something completely different As for myself, I'm really not sure where I stand at the moment. I'm still playing around with various ideas, but sadly I always find myself lacking the time to get in to them to any great extent.
