![]() | A message to the Knights Conclave sent by hawk To the members of the Knights Conclave In case the original message did not reach you, I attach a report which M'Lady Tabbitha sent to Valetta. Please M'Lords and M'Ladies, I am reaching the point of despair. Haven is in ruins! I have searched for days for M'Lady Tabbitha, but there is only so much I can do on my own. I implore your support! I fear that as time passes, all hope for M'Lady and others is lost. Please help me!!!!! Kimi Sister-in-Arms *The original message sent to Valetta is attached* *Tabbitha tied the parchments as securely as she could to her small grey doves .Kissing each of their heads she threw them toward the sky, silently willing they arrive safely to their destinations* The first was heading to Valetta and the second to the Knights Conclave. Respected bretheren of the Order and Knights Conclave. I arrived in Haven the morning as previously mentioned in my reports to you. I spent the day mostly finding suitable accomodation, and then a premises from which we could conduct our business under the guise of Healers. All went well and I stocked the place out with most of what I felt we would need for the length of our stay. I even managed to stock up on pewter plates, mugs, and cutlery for our meals.I laid the wooden table ready for everyones arrival later that evening. All was well till late afternoon, when I suddenly felt the ground beneath me shaking violently . Stopping almost as quickly as it had begun,I was walking toward the door to go outside and investigate, when a sudden large jolt followed quickly by more strong shaking that lasted a few seconds almost knocked me off my feet. Grabbing the edge of the table I stood there afraid to move. The shaking began again, this time more violently, and it became near impossible to stand up. Softly at first ,with a sound almost like the oriental wind chimes that sing on Tokuno Islands, hanging mugs began to clang However this was replaced by much more turbulent sounds as the mugs began crashing into each other where they hung. What seemed like the contents of the whole house started to shake and the dishes, windows, and doors joined in with a loud rattling. My thoughts were to get out of the building,as I feared its collapse. Alas it was too late. The sky paled and it was like a hundred suns ,as a blinding light shattered the darkness of the approaching night sky. The ground beneath me had almost turned into a rocking cradle whose vigorous swinging brought everything within reach to a terrific crash of noise as it fell to the ground. My instinct was to get under the large table but as i manoevred toward it I was flung to the ground. The walls of the wooden structure began to sway as if alive, but the stairs went in the opposite direction. As I crawled toward the safety of the table, the building collapsed and luckily a portion of the upstairs floor crashed down onto the table below, flattening it to the floor. I say luckily, for the ceiling formed a sort of void around where I was crouched, and this I beleive saved my life. Had I of been under it I too would certainly of been crushed to death. How long I lay listening to the sounds of destruction in the town I have no idea, but once I felt safe enough to move,i could no longer ignore thehaunting screams for help from outside. I dashed to where a mother was bellowing prayers, over the motionless figure of her dead child ,trapped in a doorway and helped her get out of the house to safety. The firm, stony ground we were used to treading tossed and reeled about under our feet, almost as if we were walking the surface of a stormy, wind-swept sea. and that is from where I send you this plea for urgent aide. We are trapped underground in the ruins of the town, and an army of undead souls, are roaming the surface. We try sneak past them tirelssly all day, and get people back to where we are for now, relatively safe. We are however, desperately in need of food and medical supplies. We have just one half filled barrel of water, which is quickly turning stagnant from the terrible heat here. We have no idea wether this calamity has hit the whole of our world or just Haven, but please if any one should find this missive, please let my Order in Vesper know of what has happened or bring any help you can,to free us from this terrible plight we are left in. Lady Tabbitha Grandmaster Knights Hospitaller |
