Whelp, today marks the end of my social life and the beginning of many nights getting dirty in the shop working on the race car. Time to put away those stilletos and pull out the dirty sneeks! Goodbye city life and hello slow paced country folk! Yeah, I'm still trying to get into the whole country music thing, comes with the territory unfortunately. Why couldn't racing be associated with cooler music like techno?

Today is the first practice in the new car. Nerve-wrecking...YES. I dont think I slept at all last night worrying about how the honey's gonna do in the car today. The practice will only be 3 cars at a time out on the track, and they all start in intervals so he will have a lot of room to get used to the steering and handling, but I'm still nervous as heck.

I'd post a link to the web site, but it's not done yet *hangs head*. I just cant get it to how I want it. My user-base is going to consist of rural folk who probably still use dial-up, so making all sorts of pretty colored graphics on the web site is sorta difficult. Keeping them in mind as I make this site is quite a challenge...and kinda like it

But I'll post some pics and what not in the meantime. But for now, I gotta hit Sheetz and get me a "Shmagle" and get my butt down to the shop!

Well... they always say it's been a good race day if the car can drive back onto the trailer when packing up, instead of pushing it on... right?
He did pretty good with the new car. Really took his time going out for the first two laps to get a grip on it. Then took off like a bat outta h.e.double hockey sticks and hit the wall. He said that the breaks are "Right ON!" you tap em and you seriously STOP lol. Here's some shots of the day:

Oh yeah, damage report thus far (these are always fun)

+ a couple ball joints
+ 2 new tires
+ new rim for the left front
+ new radiator

Just for practice. Not even racing yet!

Here's a pic of our buddy racing, I'm doing his web site also. He used to race in Vinnie's division but just moved up to semi-lates for this season. He was out there today like he's been driving this car forever.
