  | Petra's Staying Home Today!!! North of Pittsburgh was hit pretty hard with storms this morning, causing my neighborhood to be under a foot or so of water, and over 3 feet in the main town. *sarcastic smile* Thank gawd our house is on a hill, like hurricane Ivan all over again, it just missed our house! The streets are covered with trees and debris however, we are all trapped. I just tried walking to a convenience store to get some milk and take a look around at all the damage. It's just horrible! This neighborhood was just flooded right before I moved back. Not as severe though, but people have just finished recovering and bought new appliances that are now garbage. | Re: Petra's Staying Home Today!!! North of Pittsburgh now. We were okay, spent all after noon mopping and scrubbing the basement. My neighbors were not as lucky as we were. After we cleaned our house up, I helped some neighbors move their belongings that were destroyed, out to the curb. It was really depressing, since the same area was flooded just last weekend, these people just had new utilities put in. Now those too are garbage. Few people actually got arrested for just flat out, losing their mind. It was kinda scary. But everything seems to be okay now, as long as we do not get anymore rain.
