Anyone in the D.C. area?

Petra will be touring downtown D.C. from 3/27 to 3/28. The BF has to visit one of his clients, World Bank, and I'm taking off to go with him and party at the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Oh yeah....and we are going to see the Pens play the Caps Tuesday night lol.
Never been to a game in DC yet, I'm excited!! Get to be the obnoxious "away team fan".

I'll be bored and stag Tuesday afternoon before the game and was wondering if anyone wanted to do lunch!

Not sure I can get downtown or not, too early to tell.
Do enjoy your visit, too bad it couldn't be earlier to catch the Town Hall at White Flint on Saturday.

LOL!!! I will watch out for them!
Where are the best places to shop, it's been forever since I've been in DC. Is Georgetown still a nice place to shop?
We're staying in Bethesda...again, and will most likely take the Metro where ever I go. Bethesda is on the red line if I remember correctly. Love that thing, wish Pittsburgh had something like that.

Re: Anyone in the D.C. area?

I'M BACK!!!!!!!! :cheesy:

Had a blast, weather was excellent, 80 degrees and sunny! I mainly hung out in Bethesda all day Tuesday because there wasn't a whole lotta time to hope onto the Metro anywhere, so I waited around for the BF to go and do what he needed to do at World Bank and come back for the game. We ate at Guapo's which if you are ever in Bethesda, they had the best Mexican food I ever had! (Wisconsin Ave by the CVS) Anyhoo...
We took the Metro into town to get to the Verizon Center/Arena? whatever, and turns out that Pens fans outnumbered the Caps fans We get a huge open-armed welcome by strangers with Pens jerseys on hehe. Ran up to the glass for warm-ups and there he was...

*cue montage with Dream Weaver playing in the background*

Ryan...Whitney... He looked once when he skated by...looked twice when he skated by again, and the third time he smiles and chucks a puck up at me over the glass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I about knocked over the old lady next to me and pounced on it where I tucked it away. It was still wet from the ice! Shoved it in my bag before anyone would accuse me of taking their puck. I looked at the BF and he just crossed his arms at me and smiled. (And I also slept with it that night LOL!!)
Whitney was one shy from a hat trick but he scored each goal right on the side I was sitting. I think it was 110 row F, which was kewl...almost center ice! It was an amazing game...best game I ever went to, not just because of puck, which I believe I'm entitled to after I got hit with a puck in the beginning of the season, and the person sitting two seats away didn't let me have the puck! But because of the crowds.
We took a bar over, across the street and if you had a Pens or Steelers jersey on, this guy was buying us all rounds hehe. Was pretty kewl. Stumbled back on to the Metro and crawled back to the hotel and lights out.
Next day I spend $300 at a flea market in a matter of 15 mins. Some lady was selling knock-off purses so I got me 2 Coach bags, and a Prada wallet Spent the rest on jewelry and other crap I dont need.

I was too drunk to take pics at the game, the BF took a few of Whitney for me cuz I couldn't hold the camera still Which he has on him down at the shop to take pics of the race car, but here's a visual of my dream man from a previous game this year. I had good ones of him stretching and stuff...ladies you know what I'm talking about! But the BF deleted em LOL!!! So now I have to drool at his back..

This about sums it up. Pens in DC
