The Silver Shadows
The Warrior Priests of Dragonis
(Kin-Silvarius) Noted for their immense fighting prowess in combat the Silver Shadows have a rigid training scheme and several notable abilities. As he or she moves up through the ranks, they will be able to learn and master more disciplines. From joining the Temple at the tender age of 4 years, they begin the basics of schooling and the teachings of Dragoni and our forebears. Once at the age of 12, they are tested and selected for their life’s duties. For some this often means expulsion from the Temple if they have not learnt all they have been taught. If they remain then for the next 9 years a strict and rigid training program is placed upon them. While the Silver Shadows are known to be Warrior Priests, it is unfair to say that this is all that they are. Before they are given the title of 'Asari' they must pass the Master challenges and progress from the Priest Disciplines to the Master Disciplines. Those that fail the Master Challenge if not killed during the challenge are deemed not worthy of the Master Disciplines but fulfil the majority of the Silvarius Priesthood. Some continue though the Priest Disciplines and rise to become Arch Bishops of the Dragoni Faith. Those that succeed within the challenge are granted access to the Master Disciplines, and are given the title Silvarius Master. They are forbidden from sexual activities, families or even from extreme of emotions. They are now classed as Holy Warriors and are expected to show the Goddess the utmost in devotion. It is not unheard of for male Silvarius Masters to castrate themselves and for the females to remove their left Brest to enable them to fight easier. Once they enter the Silvarius Asari levels they are regarded almost as saints. Their devotion and holiness is respected and honoured by all. They are organised within the following ranks/grades: Ordo Silvarius Silvarius (4-8 Years) Silvarius Pupil (9-12 Years) Silvarius Servitor Silvarius Priest (0 Disciplines) Silvarius Servitor (1 Disciplines) Silvarius Disciple (2 Disciplines) Silvarius Brother/Sister (5 Disciplines) Silvarius Cleric (7 Disciplines) Silvarius Bishop (8 Disciplines) Silvarius Arch Bishop Silvarius Master (1 Disciplines) Silvarius Asari (2 Disciplines) Silvarius Asari Acolyte (3 Disciplines) Silvarius Asari Brother/Sister (5 Disciplines) Silvarius Asari Knight (8 Disciplines) Silvarius Asari Lord Priest Disciplines: Camouflage This discipline enables the Silvarius to blend in within her surroundings. In the country side, she can hide undetected among the trees and rocks and pass close to an enemy without being seen. In built up areas it enables her to look and sound almost like a native of that area and can possibly help her to find shelter or safe hiding areas. Hunting This basic skill enables the Silvarius will never starve within the wild. He will always be able to hunt for food for himself, except of course within areas of wasteland or desert. This skill also enables the Silvarius to move stealthily when stalking his prey. Sixth Sense This discipline may warn a Silvarius of imminent danger. It may also reveal the true purpose of a stranger or strange object encountered in their duties. Tracking This skill enables a Silvarius to make the correct choices of paths within the wild, to discover the location of a person or even an object within built up areas. An additional skill within this discipline is the ability to read the secrets of footprints and tracks. Healing This skill can be used to heal injuries sustained within combat or day to day life. A Silvarius although adept in healing, cannot heal mortal wounds or restore life within dead creatures. Weaponskill Upon initiation within the Draco-Nummos Temple, all initiates are taught to master basic weaponry with one specialist skill in a bladed or ranged weapon. All Silvarius are adept at staffs, slings and daggers, with their choice of the following weapon to complete additional training: Broadsword, Mace, Spear, Crossbow, Longbow, Longsword or Flail. Mindshield Ti'tao and many creatures under his command have the ability to attack you using the power of their mind. The discipline of Mindshield prevents the Silvarius from being injured by Mindblast attacks. Mindblast This enables a Silvarius to attack an enemy using the force of his mind. It can be used at the same time as normal combat weapons, however not all creatures encountered may be harmed by this attack. Animal Kinship This skill enables a Silvarius to communicate with some animals and to be able to guess the intentions of others. Mind over Matter Mastery of this discipline enables a Silvarius to move small objects with his powers of concentration. Master Disciplines Weaponmastery This Silvarius Master Discipline enables a Silvarius Master to become adept in almost all types of weapons (Basic, Bladed, Exotic and Ranged). All Silvarius Masters are trained to master the Broadsword, as he progresses though the grades, he will be given the chance to master an additional weapon. As the training is strict, no Silvarius Master will have mastered more weapons than their level allows. IE If you are a Silvarius Shadow Initiate then you will have mastered 3 weapons (two of your choice). Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master will be able to use defensive combat skills to great effect when fighting unarmed. Animal Control This Silvarius Master skill enables a Silvarius Master to communicate with most animals and to determine their purpose and intentions. It also enables the Silvarius Master to fight from mounts with a greater advantage. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master will also be able to repeal an animal that in intent on harming them by blocking their sense of smell and taste. The level of success is dependant on the size and ferocity of the animal Curing The possessor of this skill can heal mortal wounds, cure disease, blindness and most combat wounds bar fatal ones sustained to others as well as himself. Using the Knowledge that this skill provides also will allow a Silvarius Master to identify the properties of any herbs, roots and potions that may be encountered. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Scora the Silvarius Master will be able to delay the effects of almost any poison, including venoms, that may come into contact with. Although a Scora Shadow is not able to neutralize a poison, he is able to slow its effects, giving him more time to find an antidote or cure Invisibility This Silvarius Master skill allows a Silvarius Master to blend in with her surroundings, even in the most exposed of terrain. It will enable her to mask his body heat and scent and to adopt the dialect and mannerisms of any town or city she visits. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master is able to increase the effectiveness of their skill when hiding from an enemy by drawing the enemy's attention elsewhere. As the Silvarius Master rises up though the grades, so does the ability to use this skill. Huntmastery This skill ensures a Silvarius Master will never starve in the wild. He will always be able to hunt for food, even in areas of wasteland and desert. It also enables him to move with great speed and dexterity and will allow him to always be aware of a surprise attack or ambush. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master will have a greatly increased agility and are able to climb without the use of climbing aids such as ropes, etc. Pathsmanship In addition to the basic skill of being able to recognise the correct path in unknown territory, the Silvarius Master skill of Pathsmanship will enable a Silvarius Master to read foreign languages, decipher symbols, read footprints and tracks (even if disturbed), and detect the presence of most traps. It also grants her the gift of always knowing which direction north is. Psi-Surge This psychic skill enables a Silvarius Master to attack another creature using the power of his mind. It can be used as well as normal combat weapons. Psi-Surge is a powerful discipline and takes many years to master, almost as long as it would take to learn two other disciplines. It is also a costly one, for when Psi-Surge is used the Silvarius Master is fatruiged and is unable to use the ability again for quite some time, other effects are that it can cause minor wounds, dizziness and nose bleeds. Not all creatures are effected by this attacking force, so care should always be used with its use. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master can by concentrating their psychic powers upon an object set up vibrations that may lead to the disruption or destruction of the object. Psi-Screen Many of the hostile creatures that inhabit Allula have the ability to attack you without even lifting a finger. This power of the mind can have devastating effects. The skill of Psi-Screen prevents the Silvarius Master from receiving wounds from this form of attack, and greatly increases his defences against supernatural illusions and hypnosis. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Scora the Silvarius Master will develop mental defences against magical charms and hostile telepathy. The effectiveness of this ability increases as the Silvarius Master rises up though the grades. Nexus Mastery of this skill will enable a Silvarius Master to withstand extreme of heat and cold without injury. It also allows him the ability to move medium sized items with the powers of concentration. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Adept the Silvarius Master will be able to offer a far greater resistance than before to the effects of noxious gases and fumes. Divination This skill may warn a Silvarius Master of imminent or unseen danger, or enable her to detect an invisible or hidden enemy. It may also reveal the true purpose or intent of a stranger or strange object encountered. Divination may enable you to communicate telepathically with another person and sense if a creature possesses psychic abilities. Upon reaching the grade of Silvarius Shadow Scora the Silvarius Master will become able to discern if a creature has magical skills or abilities.
