We should start a Beta club. I went to the washington Monument about a year ago and saw how nasty the water was. I thought about rescuing 100's of Beta's and letting them lose in the water hehe. I'd probably get arrested though, it would be fun!

Sorry for ya'lls loss.

I've always felt sorry for betas. They do NOTHING. They sit, trapped, in a small glass jar until they are bought. Then they go and sit in a slightly larger glass jar until they die. These fish must be slightly brain dead ot something. Or maybe they are so intelligent they can sit there thinking all day and night barely moving.

In our aquarium at home we have:

2 Neon Tetras
6 Cardinal Tetras
1 Pleco
1 Catfish
6 Guppies (male and female), not sure if there are any more in hiding, can't tell if the female gave birth.

I do agree about the betas being stuck in a little bowl, I feel sorry for them like that. My hubby didn't want to buy one because they just look so lonely alone in a tank, but I love them. Real easy to take care of, and he kept me sane at work. If I'm having a bad day, I just take a break and watch him swim. It calms me down.

Snugglebug what would that do to the water, or what would the point be. I am just very curious to why u would want to do that, and where woiuld u get the betas and could they live in that water?
