What kinda bug?

It involves the special URL rewriting that lets you have www.uoguide.com/Main_Page instead of www.uoguide.com/index.php?t=Main_Page. Windows doesn't like having colons (:) in the URL and there is an error when one is used. UOGuide has a lot of URLs with colons so it isn't a simple matter of disallowing them. This bug has been reported for years but the Apache developers haven't fixed it.

I've made the arrangements to switch to a Linux server. It is going to set things back a couple days. =[

I have finished installing the Linux OS for the server on one of my computers to facilitate testing. The new Linux server is not yet setup and may not be until some time Monday.

I just got the notice that UOGuide was transferred over to the Private Servers tonight that were signed up for over a month ago. Could it have come at any of a worse time? Anyway, perhaps this might be a good intermediate step in transferring over. I'll let it run a day and see how the speed improves.

Seems to run much faster for me, even clearing cache on my end, and an action purge on the front page. Nice! Do you have APC and $wgMainCacheType = CACHE_ACCEL; turned on too?

I have been very sick for most of the week so I didn't get a chance to work on the new server. I will try and get some stuff done this weekend.

I can't recall if I set any accelerators when I started UOGuide. The new server will be using the best one I can find.

No. Still on the same one. Also in the last day there should have been a speed improvement from php caching being enabled.

Ahh ok.
Speed wise, for me at least, it seems slower
I did a test on Website Speed Test
Clocks UOguide at about 10-12 seconds for a page load.
