| Re: Site Upgrade Happening Soon I contacted our host and there is no telling when the upgrade would be. They said a few weeks but now it has been a month. I am going to try and find a new web hosting provider. |

| Re: Site Upgrade Happening Soon Image uploads have been disabled so that I will only have to transfer the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of images one time. Users may continue editing just fine, transferring the database will not be happening for a few more days. |

| Re: Site Upgrade Happening Soon There is really nothing to say until the transfer is complete. I'm still downloading images 5 hours later. If anyone is interested in knowing a bit more, it is taking so long because I'm doing it via FTP. Thus far just over 100MB of images have been downloaded. You might think I am on dialup but I have DSL. The issue is each file has to be prepared, transfered, connection closed, open new connection, etc. over 6,000 times now. It won't take more than 5 minutes to upload them to new server however because they will be zipped up. To make the process even more fun some images have errors and force FTP to stop every now and then. I didn't realize there were well over 6,000 images. I expected only a thousand. At the moment it looks like it will only take 2 or 3 days to get everything done. Last edited by JCtheBuilder; 15th May 2008 at 06:50 PM. |
