anyway, i was watching family guy the other day and it reminded me of Kit.

Joe Swanson - Peter, it's over.
Peter Griffin - Over? What are you talking about?

i miss you guys too!

i had to give a lecture today in my Digital Storytelling class (it's a class on writing and character development for games), and today we started covering MMORPG's. of course, UO was all over the chapter as a pioneer of the genre.

i miss my cu sidhes!!!

i just can't imagine giving EA another bloody red cent. after i got hacked, i did everything the customer support people told me to do. i spent 3 weeks calling and emailing and calling and emailing. they kept giving me different phone numbers to call, who would pass me off to somebody else.

all i wanted was my vet rewards back, since those are trackable and tied to accounts.

all i wanted was my polar bear.

nobody would help. i got the run around for nearly a month. they just kept passing me around like a hot potato.

jeremy never even replied to my emails, though all i really wanted from her was to make the gmail bug known so that other gmail users who play UO wouldn't get hacked. no response.

i loved UO, but considering how EA didn't even flinch to lose someone who had 5 accounts, most for 5 years or more... a 9 1/2 year vet (dec 22 would have been my 10 year anniversary) ..... they didn't even flinch.

as much as i want to play RIGHT THIS SECOND, it's all on principle now.

besides, i got so angry after a month of trying to get my damn polar bear back that i suspended all of my accounts without putting anything in the bank. now, it's REALLY all gone.

and i kind of did that on purpose, to ensure that i wouldn't go back.

EA really puts on a good show, like they care about their players. i believed it for years. to this day, the truth makes me so sad. it was sad enough losing all of the things that meant so much to me that i had collected over the years. then, to be completely ignored by EA.. it was just the nail in the coffin.

but anyway, not playing UO has given me a ton of time to dedicate to my new hobby, photography, and i'm also taking a meteorology course this january to start taking weather photos (aka storm chasing, kinda).

i hope everyone is well! i do wish i had another game to play, but i'm not really interested in WoW, and it doesn't really matter as you all wouldn't be there, so I doubt i'll be playing any other online RPG's for a while.

so what has everyone been up to? there's no way i'll ever get through the 12,000 unread posts here

Despite all the money and time invested, they could care less what you lose, even if it's not your fault.

Oh my gosh Kit!! I haven't seen you in a long time!! Missed your postings! And yeah... I already had that gester from EA >_< that is why I am not really playing UO besides for me not really having any purpose there... but longs your having fun doing what you are currently doing then it is all good!

We just hope you drop a line here and there! ^_^

And Ooo what type of stuff do they show you in the Digital Story Telling Class? I have always been fasinated with that type of stuff but I think I am too much of an ejet to comprehend what they are trying to say to me =P

i hate that EA turned me into this!!!!

and adam... yeah, now it's more that than anything. i received a whole lot of kind offers of help replacing my stuff (and apparently, continue to receive them!!!) but not even a peep from EA. you'd think that all of my subscription fees were worth something. nope. and that just sucks. all i wanted was my vet rewards.

i'm feeling very conflicted right now.

downloading KR on my laptop (it's the only place i have windows running right now). i'm not sure i want to taint my new imac by putting windows on it to play uo.

i dunno... dunno dunno dunno. how can i logically give them more money after all this? it's insanity, really.
