Interesting everyone has their own strategy. It would help us if we settled on one. hehe. I've ususally dont Mel with parties of archers and mages. Satyrs ard blocked back by fields and meteor'ed by mages, attacked by archers from distance until all are dead. Once Mel is released she's targeted by a good group of earthies to keep her occupied while mages deal fire damage and archers have a go at her. EV's aren't too effective against Mel. It also helps to have a nox mage or two to keep her poisoned so she can't heal.

I've done it with a tamer and three spell weavin mages. GM cu takes the brunt of the damage while we heal and dd spells and dispel revs.

I imagine there are lots of good strategies. I just think everyone should be clear before we go in exactly which one we are using.

That way everyone knows what their job is.

How do you get the EE next to her though with the EF?

The one thing with the EV's was that they're a good way to get her distracted from targeting the players. Also, keeps her distracted long enough to get energy fields on either side (so she's not running at you). Earthies are hard to get up if you've got energy fields blocking, no? (Don't the earth elems spawn where the mage is standing - not targetable like EV's?)

One thing I always have tried to follow when going in there, is to use EEs not EVs. She will leech life off em. Set up a few rows of E-fields and cast away or shoot arrows. Tamers can work well, but its hard to stand near em and heal. Best to have your mages Gheal them. Whenever I did it, we would go with 2 mages(1 is usually nox), 2 archers, and sometimes a tamer.

Good job on the successful Lady M guys! When I make my return to UO, I will most likely be packing up and spreading my characters across 2 shards (atl, La) and will come join up with you guys!

Melesande has high energy resists, so ev's does minimal dmg as compared to an erth ellie who does physical dmg which Mel's physical resists are lower. keep her poisoned so she doesn't "ami sako" her health back.

She doesn't use ami sako if poisoned? I know that players can heal thru poison with it.

correct. she wont SS if shes poisoned, which is why it helps to have a nox/mage in there, so she doesnt cure as well....
