Re: Code of Conduct, Charter, & Guidelines

Charter

UO:F is a guild of friends based out of the UOForums.com community. We support all playstyles and encourage growth and improvement in all professions, be it PvP or PvM combat, crafting, merchantry, or any combination thereof. We are not selective in the playstyles we support, and we expect all members to respect other players' choices of playstyles at all times.

UO:F is a non-warring guild based on the notion that we truly enjoy each other's company. We are friends, first and foremost, and expect all members new and veteran, novice and experienced, to treat each other with kindness and respect.

General Guidelines

Hunting Guidelines

- Organized guild hunt times and locations will be announced in the private UO:F forum at UOForums.com.
- All guild members are welcome to join guild hunts, regardless of character experience or skill levels. Veteran and skilled members will help out new members by providing adequate armor and equipment whenever possible, explaining hunt strategies, and sharing tips for success against various foes.
- All guild members are expected to follow the instructions of the hunt leader with particular regard to strategy, weapon tasks, pet tactics, cross healing, etc.
- Members should refer to the Hunting Guideline document for specific hunting guidelines.

Finally, loot collected during guild hunts may be property of the player that earned the loot in-game.
- Artifacts bestowed by the game upon members during guild hunts are individual rewards. Each member can decide whether to keep the arti or donate it to the guild.

Donations

- Donation boxes are available at the guild Keep. Feel free to donate gold, resources (such as wood, ingots, leather, cloth, etc), and/or items of value to the guild by placing items in a donation box.
- Guild donations are anonymous and are not tracked. Donation amounts and values play no part in determining guild leadership, titles, or membership roles within the guild.

Re: Code of Conduct, Charter, & Guidelines

Initiation Process

When a player decides to become a member of UO:F, he or she must complete a 14-30 day initiation process. This process serves several purposes:

- Above all, it is meant to ensure that the player is a good fit for the guild, and that his/her play style, values, and goals are compatible with UO:F and its members.

- It should ensure that quality members are added to the guild.

- It should be a fun and enriching experience for all, contributing to guild unity and allowing initiates and members to get to know each other.

Because the UO:F guild is based out of the UOForums.com discussion board, guild initiates and members are required to actively participate in discussions at UOForums.com.

Active forum participation is defined as making meaningful contributions to forum discussions.

New initiates are required to participate on UOForums.com during the initiation phase by introducing themselves in the guild forum, describing his/her experiences on guild hunts, etc.

Initiates should also meet with at least one Council member during his/her initiation phase for an informal interview.

At the first Council meeting following an initiate's 14-30 day trial period, guild leadership will vote to accept the initiate's application for full membership, enact a conditional delay on acceptance, or decline the initiate's application for membership.

Players interested in joining UO:F should post a message introducing themselves in the UO:F Guild Forum.
