Holy insanity batman!

So swoops was too busy to train my pets today, and there were too many people camping the cu sidhe's to tame them, so I had to find something else to amuse me.

Well, everyone and their brother seems to have a nightmare, so maybe I should go get one of those? Yeah!

I'd read that nightmares attack on sight and also have the anger cycles like cu's. So I was prepared to see one, try to peace it, fail, and bail the heck outta there. From what I was reading, it sounded hard to solo them, but that peacers have the best shot. Well, that's me!

Anyway... It took about 45 minutes and 286 charges on my musical instrument, LOL! (That's a lotta peacing!) I failed to even get a taming attempt most of the time. I think I got 3 total taming attempts that didn't immediately anger the beast, and on the 3rd, I snagged him.

Of course, not knowing what to expect, I just took the first nightmare I ran into. Didn't check his numbers.

Turns out, he's not too bad! AND he's jet black

Merth helped me confirm that, and he too has a black one!

He's low in fire and poison, about 80% of max, but all other numbers are above 90% of max.

w00t!

I don't want to tame another one of those for a long time (at least not solo!) LOL

And there is also a Reptalon or two to get a few taming gains on as well.

Any of you guys remember the introduction of shadow wyrms? For the first day, they were tameable.

This was pre-bonding era. GM's deleted any seen out of the stables, but there were a couple still around. Friend on Baja had one (yes, I aw it, but he never hunted with it).

GJ on the mare kit! WIll have to show you some tricks to taming them. I prefer the ilsh spawn, less crud around to get in the way. If you want a REAL challenge, we can go try to tame on in T2A, Terrathan lair. Now THAT's hard.
