Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

Ok, both have just bonded and come out of the stables after a week.

Where shall I start to train each of them?

Sphinx is a good start, also Swoop. Safe for the tamer. Need lots of vetting though.

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

As we had the quick respawn in Felucca, my prefered area was the water elemental corner in Destard. Great resist gains. Now, with the slowed down respawn, its getting boring there.

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

this is how i trained healing and resist. At the champ spawn where you tame the cus, when a couple pixies get stuck on the rocks have your cu attack them. I trained resist and healing there in no time.

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

The drag should be able to start right out on shadow ele's. I normally work a pup at level 2 Despise for an hour or so before I let them beat on an ele. Working an ele isn't "fun", doesn't make you gold, but is the fastest way to get skills worked up.

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

Cu Sidhe:

1) I immediately take them to Yamatso Mines for Shadow Elemental beatings. I find it very easy to occaisionally vet them and keep them at 2/3 health or higher. Eventually (about 45 mins), you will get REALLY bored because the Cu won't even need your help - unless a Yamadon Priest gets dragged on you by a passing Artifact grabber!
Skills trained:
Wrestling
Anatomy
Tactics
Healing

Then, I take them to one of three places:
1) Pixie stuck spot in Twisted Weald
2) New Haven for the purple necro spellcasting monsters
3) Covetous. This is actually my favorite place - you can either use the entrance area with the 2 lich lords or take your new puppy to the Lich Throne room. Once the spawn is somewhat controlled, your pet will never need your help again.
Skills trained:
Healing (if below 90)
Resist

Finally, you have the choice to take your pet up against rotten corpses to GM healing or to discord your pet and let it gain healing that way. I tend to leave mine at 90.

Super Dragon:
1) Again, Yamatso mines. You will need to vet, as the dragon GHeals are not enough to keep him/her alive. On the plus side, Yamatso Priests are much less of a concern =D
Skills:
All - but you're really looking just to raise wrestling into the 90s here

2) Next stop: Citadel. If you've never been here, take some time to read the instructions on uoguide or here on the Forums. You'll want to take your dragon to the first hallway in the path to get the red key for travesty. Here, you will find an endless spawn of evil humanoid mobs. If you position your dragon properly (it takes some practice) you can ensure that only 2-3 or 3-4 mobs at a time can hit him, while you are safely behind your pet and within easy reach of the escape stairwell. These will take your dragon to his max wrestle skill.
Skills:
All, but primarily Wrestling. Somewhere along the line, you will hit max EI and Med here, also. You will likely GM Anatomy and tactics here also - but GM is not the max for all Supers!

3) Finally, it's time for the big leagues. Why bother training on lesser mobs, when Peerless monsters provide faster gains, more exciting battles, and better loot? Find a friend and start chaining Lady Melisande. Two dragons and an emergency rezzer/healer are all you need for endless CC attempts in the Blighted Grove! I don't find that resisting spells is particularly useful for my dragon. He still gets poisoned by Dreadhorn at GM resist, and what non-peerless, non-boss monsters hit harder or really pose a threat to a fully-trained super dragon, anyhow?

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

Question: what if you can discord your (greater) dragon? I'm thinking that with lower wrestling he'll get faster gains. Would the citadel be too hard on him? Maybe troglodytes instead?

Re: Where shall I train my Cu Cidhe and Great Drag?

Personally, I use the Citadel for all my pet training needs from about 80 wrestling onwards. There are a couple of areas (the thief room, for example) where you need a lot of healing, but overall, it does quite well.
