What I did for all of my tamers was invest in a +30 (or close) skillset. At 85 taming, youd have way more than enough to tame ridgebacks. Get on some kin paint, and go to Ilsh Compassion. Go to the Savage Camp and there will be a ridgeback pen. Two spawn at a time and the savages will auto kill it for you. Ok, so you may want to beat your head against the wall from boredom after a while, but it got me to 106+ fairly quick. After that I tamed unicorns to 120 on two chars. You will be lucky to gain .2 a day after 110+ though

This is a nearly useless answer because I can't think of the name of it, but there is a totem that gives +5 animal lore... oy baldguy would know!

As for a template, one of my tamers has the skills you've already started plus stealth and hiding and my other has eval and hiding, I guess it's just a matter of how you want to play and what skills you enjoy.
I'm going to *try* to be on this weekend a little so I can cook up some kin paint if you need some and also I might have some taming jewelry laying around somewhere, it could take me a bit to find them as my house is a disaster but if I do find them you're more than welcome to have them... they may not be +30 but probably close to it.

tyvm everyone, i was away a while... i got rings and bracelets, but they arent giving me lore bonuses, also, the totem you talked about, its brids of britania talisman, and i need to make donations... so i have to get stuff done to get it (i finished the quest to donate)

I wouldn't worry about having lore on your jewelry, it raises so fast it's not a biggy. I reached 110 lore before I even hit 80 taming just from training taming and vet.
