Raising healing on Cu's
How do you all get your Cu's above 90 healing? I have a stable full of good Cu's that are 4X GM with 90 healing done with a Shadow ele. The problem is getting them above the 90 on heal. I have tried sitting at the rotting corpses, last time for 2+ hours with no gain.
Any other ideas? I'd like to GM healing on a couple of these and give them to guildmates or peddle them at Brit to open up some stable space...................Last edited by jfk; 8th May 2007 at 12:27 PM. |

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
I have no clue, mine is moving really slow at 78.something and I'll be happy enough if/when it hits 90.
Maybe try poisoning it (if you have a method to) or getting it poisoned continuously?

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
Don't think they can get healing above 100. Haven't tried it personally but have heard rotting corpses are great for high healing gains

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
Think you need 85 healing in order to cure first tho for cu's.

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
Okie dookie. A cu's healing can not raise above 100.
However! Here is how to get it to 100. 1. One trick is Rotten Corpses. It is very slow, very boring. And there is a small trick involved. I found that training on rotters will get you a healing gain, but its slow. I found that feeding your pet regularly while training, helps greatly. I would gain between .4-.6 healing while feeding my cu, but only between .1 and .2 w/o feeding. A few nice places to go for this... a. 4th level of Cove (under the lichs) b. Doom (2 places where double rotters spawn) c. Compassion Shrine, to the East (?), over bridge there is a worn down Keep (?) there. Para Rotters are great! 2. Disco!!! If you discord your pet while fighting a shadow elemental, your healing will raise. Again slow, but it does work. What you have to figure is this. You have to think that your Cu's healing has to match the poisoning skill of the monster your fighting. Rune beetles and Poison elementals are untested, but I believe they will work. So when you get to 90 healing, you will need to find a beast that has >90 poisoning. |

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
No healing above GM for cus.
Once it hits 90, take it to rotting corpses and let it fight those for a while to get to GM healing. It will take a long while tho, it's taking mine forever.

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
Oops, typo, my bad. I know they can't go above 100, I meant to type "above 90" instead of "above 100"...duh.
Anyway thanks, looks like the rotting corpses it is, as my bard is on same account as tamer with the cu's so I won't be discoing them anytime soon. |

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
Rotting corpses work fairly well ...can get some gains off rune beetles as well but much more dangerous than fighting rotting corpses and gains are more regular off corpses

Re: Raising healing on Cu's
I'm a bit late, but I'll add in my favourite method anyways
![]() You'll need to be guilded for this. Disco the cu or get a friend/guild mate to do it. Tell it to guard you, then just sit casting poison on it. Keep it so the cu is constantly poisoned. If you do this while the pet can reach you, it will try eating you! Keep it's attention on something else if you can. Or I guess you can put it in a stable pen. Then you can always invite all your friends to cast spells like clumsy at the same time, to finish resist training. By the time you're done on the healing, the cu will be near GM anatomy and resist should be looking good/GM too. I did this on a fresh puppy, then did an assortment of dungeon crawls, finishing off with lots of daemons to GM his resist and melee skills. Oh and lots of gold and fame of course hehe. Wenchy
