ok so merth just hit 105.7 real taming skill, current template sits at

animal taming 105.7/115
animal lore 115/115
veterinary 120/120
magery 110/110
meditation 120/120
eval int 105/115

question is this should i retire my taming ring which hits cap of 115 in favor of fc/fcr which I have room for more or should i stay capped at 115 with it? my gut feeling is I can totally control my pets without it so unless im actually taming put it up and go with fc/fcr and be a better caster when i hunt?

Personally, I would retire the taming jewels for fc/fcr.... just beware cause it may affect your stable slots.... Thom would be able to address that question *grins*

Will agree with Rascal. You will lose one stable slot. So if your full just be sure to have the ring handy when stabling pets

Vepl and Rascal are absolutely correct. No need for me to chime in. But going to anyway.

Your reasoning is sound. Keep the ring around for upping/decreasing stable slots (since you use skara or delucia, it is no problem to get to bank to grab it out).

Of course finding a GOOD fc/FCR ring with 5 taming is pretty easy too!

Well i just figured out the simple solution someone give me a 120 lore 120 taming and ill be set!

I do the samething with my tamer I carry a ring to get me to 120 then drop it and put on my other ring.
