hello all! i'm seeking a warrior/taming template that i can use for taming a wolf and useing it in RP (i will need to rez it)

this is mainly for just taming wolves for RP
btw, how strong can wolves get? whats the strongest possible wolf type creature to tame?
can a wolf be tamed high enough to fight a player?

Dire wolves are the strongest type of wolves that you can tame I think. Umm, against another player I'm sure with some training and depending on who its fighting, a dire wolf wouldn't do too bad.

You just want to use one regular wolf?

If casting pets is a no-no, you could at least go for Dire Wolves. Over double the damage output and almost double the HP.

If yu can have casting pets, Bake Kitsunes are the bomb. You can have 2 out and still be able to be mounted too...

Imho, I wouldnt bother taking Taming over 90 either. Youll be able to bond with most animals and itll leave you space for Focus/Med. The only pain might be Taming them but thats really a one time thing once you get them in the stables, youre home free...

i trained my taming and vet to 30. i'm just going to use these 2 wolves for putting humans in the arena at my clans orc fort

Cecil had a temp like this. Get abit more taming then just needed for taming Dire wolves OR hell hounds. Both are very good and can be good when trained.. I'd go for five dire wolves like GRD markies do.. If you can only get two then two hell hounds. Then just work out what you gonna do more and fit the temp around that. Also Archery tends to work better (from what i've seen..) as a tamer/fighter. Although Cecil used to do well, both his dogs hurt alot and his maces sure did pack a punch... But thats about all I'll say as I suck with temps.

Re:Re edit...: If your just gonna use your dogs as torture, then have someone tame the wolves for you... Then get like.. 80 vet/lore so you can rez. If its just timber wolves you need 0 taming to control, or the human 20 free taming is enough

You might want to consider necromancy. I've never had a necro, but doesn't the wolf form allow you to control wolves? Isn't there also a wolf familiar? You'll also get some nice life leeching spells, spirit speak, and maybe animate dead. (But you won't be able to rez.)

I though about that too. Dark Wolf Familiar does allow you to tame any wolf as if it were 0 difficulty, but throwing Necro and SS on there wouldnt leave alot of room for 90 Vet/Lore to be able to rez...

I'd say hell hounds, get the pack instinct bonus with 5.

Yeah, I'd say necro too, but you can't bond with the wolves with just necro, not worth the skill points if you still need taming/lore.

He forgot to say he needs a workable template within the Europa RP RoE, which allows a maximum of two pets of which neither can take more than 1 slot.
