![]() | Help with template dilemma: part 2 Animal Lore - 96.4 Animal Taming - 89.4 Evaluating Intelligence - 64.3 Magery - 74.1 Meditation - 88.4 Veterinary - 85.6 I just thought to myself, how will I tame beasts i.e dragons without bard skills? Secondly, I don't think I'll come across a more boring skill, but hey ho, let's hope the end result is quite nice. Where do you or did you train from 90+ tame. Thanks. |

![]() | Re: Help with template dilemma: part 2 Actually, that is pretty much my template. I just dropped peace though ![]() Give a baddy a beatdown and lead tame, it's not that hard. Also, you may want to consider picking up necro/ss enough to cast wraith form, it makes meditation pointless against some bosses. Oh and there is honor taming for the really hard stuff, even most bard tamers have to against gdrags. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Help with template dilemma: part 2 Peace is relativley easy to GM and above, that will help in early game. Later, you can decide to drop it (or swap it with stones) for another bard skill. It really depends on what you want to hunt. Peace for general spawn control, discord for bosses, provocation for dark father. Or go mage tamer for the uber mana dump. Or spell weaver for some cool boosts for your pet. If you are skill point tight, and don't NEED max pets in stable, i suggest getting only the minimum taming skill for 99.9% control of your preferred pet, and using the rest to get to 120 vet and lore. for 90+ taming, Jhelom pens and Delucia for bulls is good. White wolves on Dagger island. Great harts in delucia. You can get both bulls and great hearts on barrier island, west of trinsic. There is also Great Hart forest in Ilshenar as well. ![]() Useful links [UO:F Common FAQ] [UO Stratics] [UO Guide] [Official UO Play Guide] [Search UO] [FindUO.com] [UO Feedback] [More Links, gathered by the Forum] [b][size="3"]Got a Question, or a great answer? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Help with template dilemma: part 2 For taming 99+, got to the Jhelom bull pens, OR, the go north of the tightwire in Malas and find the unicorns/ki-rins and tame them. I am currently working a second tamer at the bullpens...I log her off there in the shed, she has everything stoned except the three taming skills...gains have been very fast for her. You're template is identical to my main tamer template, which is tame/lore/vet/mage/med/eval. I also have multiple skills on stones for her including the barding skills. It makes for a very versatile template. As far as taming g-drags without peace, no sweat. Go work your honor up killing succubus' in the Fan Dancer dojo, then just honor tame the drag. Find one you like, invis, dismount, invoke honor on yourself, and go to town. Total piece of cake. |

![]() | Re: Help with template dilemma: part 2 Thank you for the input guys, still a little confused over 'honorable' taming but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it when my taming level becomes a little higher. By the way, can a tamer make a profit from selling particular mounts such as Fire Steeds? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Help with template dilemma: part 2 Basically the only mounts currently very saleable include greater drags and dread warhorses, and even at that, unless the stats are good, you won't get rich with them. If, however, their stats are exceptional, you could make tons of gold off of them. Problem is that unless you scroll up and jewel up to it, you aren't going to tame them. Some Cu's can still be sold, but their value has really gone down...trust me, I got caught with a bunch of rare colors that are fully trained that I'm "giving" away for half to a third of what I used to get. On the fairly easy end of things, there is still a small demand for blue beetles, fire beetles, and swampy's, but that's about it. I haven't seen a fire steed sell in months...simply no demand as it is a relatively weak pet. Last edited by jfk; 28th May 2008 at 04:04 PM. |
