What are your standards for a "keepable" pet in terms of its resists? How far off of max resists is acceptable?

I've been playing around with Cu pups... their max resists are 65/45/85/50/85 according to vetmaster.

My copper Cu from Baldguy is 60/45/81/42/73.

I picked up 2 more Cu's today:
60/34/78/48/85 - low on fire but if I had to guess, I'd say good otherwise.

64/42/85/41/75 - really good phys/fire/cold, ok poison...

What do you think of these guys? Would you keep 'em?

How much time do you want to spend looking for one?

If your looking for a top notch pet. I would look for one that is within 10% of max intensity not only for resists but stats too. Now understand that means a lot..and I mean a lot of time looking for the perfect pet ?-/

I've got all the time in the world!

I'll probably keep and train my copper cu, and swap out the lower ones as I keep trying to find better and better ones, until I get one that is better than the copper one

OK, so if I'm doing my math correctly....

Max cu sidhe:
Resists: 65/45/85/50/85
Stats: 612/85/290

90% minimum acceptable:
Resists: 58/40/76/45/76
Stats: 550/76/261
(rounded down to the nearest whole number)

Eh? Is that what we're going for?

I would say if you find one that is it's bare minium, you will have found your perfect pet

I think your perfect pet depends on you, too. Rather keep the copper one instead of a plain one with slightly better resists? Do it! Rather keep a rare color, or are stats more important? I have 2 of them. I just like them both. No, they are not maxed out. They do, however, get the job done, and that works for me.

I have a good cu which is only the reg color but I trained him b/c he had good stats, but I also have color cu's for looks!

Well, using 90% of max stats and resists as my baseline, I found myself a near-perfect cu last night

Resists 56/40/84/48/85 = 86%/89%/99%/96%/100%
Stats 606/84/271 = 99%/99%/93%

He's not a fancy color - that ice green shade with white (looks like now I gotta spend a vet reward on an ice green robe!) but I think he will serve me well!

My copper cu (which I will keep for looks, and he's not bad in numbers either) compares to max at 92%/100%/95%/84%/86% and A-OK in the stats category.

I think I need to make a web based cu stat calculator.... (well probably for other pets too hehe). *maybe a project for today*
