![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Fair Price for Cu Sidhes? So my friends and I have begun a little "collection" of Cus. We only need three colors now, Copper (semi-rare), Red (rare), & the Blaze (super-rare - not happening anytime soon). Anyways, we're considering training and selling some of them, but wanted to know what a fair price was for them. We'd train them up to 125 Dex & 4x GM w/90.0+ healing before selling them. What's a fair price? For plain 'dirty white' Cus? For the 'semi-rare' colors (grey, copper, dull copper, bronze, echo blue, sky blue, agapite pink)? For the 'rare' colors (black, pure white, red, ice blue, valorite blue, rose pink)? I also realized that some of the 'rare' colors are more desirable than others, like the Shadow Black, Pure White, & Blood Red, but any help would be appreciated! |

All but the rares I give away cant find buyers for them anyways....copper is not very rare wonder why you havent gotten one yet, as for the rest I either give away to guildies or sell. Red black and pure white untrained sell for anywhere from 350k upto 4-5 mil depending on stats. blaze is ridiculous price saw one sell for 500mil. |

Personally, since I have a tamer, I won't pay much of a premium for a trained cu, but some folks will. Honestly, I have a white, black, red, ice blue, grey, agapite, pink and one or two more. My FAVORITE cu by far is a common grey/white, with 699 hit points, 609 strength, 15 TOTAL points from max resist, and 4X gm with healing being worked on. Yes, his color is common but he is an absolute booty kicker. ![]() Good luck with your efforts. I think selling pets is a LOT different now than when not so many folks had good tamers. |

![]() | Re: Fair Price for Cu Sidhes? If you're going to train and sell pets, I'd suggest getting ones with good resists/stats before you invest time on them. Healing is easy enough to train, if you can get a disco bard to disco, then spam poison spells on them. I've been working the cu spawn to get a good pet to train and sell, find good pets for my own tamers and fix up other players with certain colours. I've sold a lot of cus, given some away and had a lot of fun. I do it for the fun, not the gold now. I use the uocraft.com pet power calculator to guide my prices. Anything <3 I'll either give away, or price very low. If I get one of the rare colours at 3+ then my prices go up. Make sure you list your pet's stats when you go to sell them, then folks will be able to decide what its worth to them. I just use the calculator to quickly confirm what I think of a pet and the output data is handy to paste into UOAuction ![]() On Europa it varies widely, some tamers sell dirt cheap or give away pets, other times I've gotten silly prices! Plain coloured ones need decent stats, but I've seen 150k for one untrained pup like that. Rare colours - pure white, ice blue, black, wine red, echo blue. Depending how popular the colours are on your shard, an untrained "trendy" colour can fetch over 1mil. Blaze cus... 400mil or so. I believe the last one sold for 300mil, or thereabouts. The more common colours (copper etc) are still desirable, but not l337, so look hard at stats before taking them on. If it has good stats and resists, I'd pick the cu for training and sell it, adding 1mil for training time... Some charge more, but if you use UO auction, it's a good idea to set a tempting reserve or start price you're happy to accept. Let your buyers decide the price, leave it on for 14 days if need be. Often you'll find word of mouth gets you business. I tend to sell on auction and sell almost as many pets again through returning customers, friends and the like. Cultivate your reputation and behave honourably, and it'll pay dividends. I tend to give away bad "pretty" pets as a matter of course, I won't ask for gold for a pet that would be killed if it was plain. Wenchy

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Fair Price for Cu Sidhes? Lots of good advice here - my pricing is similar to merth's. Resists/HP play the biggest role in price (other than rarity of color) in my experience, but a 4-star cu sidhe plain cu sidhe will command a premium price, too, if his resists and stats are stellar. I've created a pet rating calculator at http://www.uocraft.com/calc_pets.php - that's what I mean when I say "4-star." ![]()

![]() ![]() | Re: Fair Price for Cu Sidhes? *An Corp Thread* Are wine red Cus still desirable as collector's items? Generally, I kill any color except black. I've never seen blaze or ice in the wild =P |

Someday.... But I do find the pet calc to be useful at least for my own purposes, so I'm glad that it helps out other people too!
