![]() | Re: Cu taming? As for my para taming tests, the only thing I have noticed on Para taming Cu's is a slightly larger skill loss, no stat loss. The skill loss, for skills under or at GM level, seem to not effect the retraining of the pet to GM level. On monsters with over 100 skill, I hear the 4% extra skill loss is permanent, and you will only be able to retrain the skills over 100 to 86% or their pre tamed skill level as opposed to the 90% usually allowed. I haven't tested this, as I have a max dex legendary poisoning rune, and the only other thing I tame with over 100 skill points in a skill is the Greater Dragons, and ... well yeah, you try paralyzing a 120 resist monster. :p |

![]() | Re: Cu taming? A good suit of armour, and a supply of heal posts is handy. Equip a bow/xbow with no ammo so you don't hit the pup. I wouldn't bother with peace, it doesn't hold cus very long from what I've seen. If I want to keep the pup, I walk up to it and hold down my "tame last target" key while walking just in front of the pup. When I started out, I'd pull the cu towards the exit sparklies and use them as a retreat if I took a lot of damage. Mostly it's timing and having a good path round the trees or desert so the pup doesn't catch you up. It takes practice, but once you get into the rhythm of it, it's pretty easy. If you are struggling badly, you can always look for a bracelet of health to give you some health regen. If possible, eating a taming scroll and adding some taming jewellery would improve your success rate too. I do very well with my 115 tamer, so that would work if you can't afford 120. If I'm planning to kill the pup on the spawn to work it, I'll para tame. The timing is tricky at first, but it is an efficient way to work spawn. Everything else I lead tame. Wenchy
