Re: Cu taming?

With 115 Peace/Music

Or "lead tamimg", where you stay 2 tiles away while it chases you.

Re: Cu taming?

Ive found lead taming to be most effective. It just takes a little practice to get the hang of it, also make sure your wearing good resist gear so you dont die from that one bite.

Re: Cu taming?

set you default to walk instead of run, set up an in-game macro to use skill taming last target, target cu (i usually lore it first to set target) then hold down macro as your walking away from it it will either get angry and try to get you following (just keep macro button held down until you start to tame) or it will have been peaced by nearby dryads which gives you a free tame cycle. if it bites you just keep walking away regen health as you go, if it bleed attacks run far enough away to heal, takes a little practice to get perfect but very easy once you get the timing down.

Re: Cu taming?

I have almost all 70 suit, Cu kills me in two hits ( one if I bleed), my peace breaks when Cu gets angry, and not enough time to make peace again. Well, I have to get some practice on this "lead taming", keep you posted of the result, thanks

And then mini-me surpassed me in taming and I may never catch up!!

I do lead taming as well. The only difference is that I use KR, where you have to keep repeatedly pressing your macro key for taming, instead of holding it down. I've reported my preference of the 2D way countless times as a KR "bug"

Re: Cu taming?

As a newbie CU tamer myself, I found that casting invis as soon as you get the tame off really cuts down on the amount of hits you get. Peacing is not really effective with them, as you have learned.

If you have spellweaving, you could try the ethereal voyage for taming, they wont get you at all then.

Re: Cu taming?

Well, that's true, but the tamed creature also suffers a stat loss. Said loss doesn't occur when peace- or lead-taming.
