Bard/Tamer Quandary

Bard/Tamer Quandary

I have been a peace tamer forever. I am thinking of dropping it for Disco or Provo. I mainly pvm and want to get into champ spawns etc with him. I am thinking of dropping Peace for provo. Also. what do you think about reducing my 120’s on my other skills to 110’s and throw in possibly magery or some other skill, would it do me any good?

Given
120 Animal Taming
120 Animal Lore
120 Veterinary
120 Music
120 Magery

Which to add?
120 Discordance
120 Peacemaking
120 Provocation

Thanks for the input.

Re: Bard/Tamer Quandary

If I had to pick one, I'd go disco. Though I tend to cram templates, I have a disco and provo tamer bard and also a disco spellweaving one. Both are tight as anything and I won't have any real skills over 110 so probably not really suitable for you if you've already invested in 120 scrolls.

I tend to use items to boost music skills rather than the taming ones as well. Safer if I command a pet right after I've been resurrected

Disco. Second choice would be disco. A real close third choice would be disco. You will LOVE disco on a tamer, it is a huge aid when hunting mobs, especially higher end stuff.

I've always wondered this as well. Granted I'm at 110's across the board b/c I am poor.

I was never sure if peace or disco was better. I'm peace right now, because I like being able to fight multi mob spawns.

same here. i'm just now starting to train disco to try it out. dunno if i can part with the immense crowd control peace brings though, we'll see :S

disco will definitely be nice for places where peace is useless, like grizzle.

Re: Bard/Tamer Quandary

Was thinking of stoning Spellweaving and Evalint to give music/disco a try.

My greater dragon is amazing. She can easily take on 8 dragons at a time without me going nuts from having to heal a lot. She is truely amazing, and not even fully trained.

The other night she was taking on 2 greaters and 3 dragons in fel destard. The got a little hectic, but only because one of the dragons agro'd me first, and I had to run off and invis.

I would say go with disco as well. Especially if you have friends to help you tame nice pets. Disco for hunting will be much more useful. Lowering those skills and such REALLY makes a huge difference.

Also, even if you invested in 120 scrolls, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can't get to 120 unless you have a 120 scroll. Jewelry over the max your skill allows is just wasteful. I purposely switch Jewelry around for this reason. To get the max effectiveness out of them. Switched from lore/taming jewels to taming/fc/fcr jewels because I maxed my lore! 2/4 is just AMAZING as a tamer. Can tame GD's solo now with relative ease with only invis.

Awesome info guys. I will give Disco a try. Next I have to get a greater dragon. I have been putting it off because I don't want to get tore up . I mainly use my regular ol' white wurm.
