Carto

I have read carto guide, says il need about 30K blank scrolls/blank maps to get there. But it seems they are can not be put in comodity deeds,so im kinda recalling around with a packhorse striping out the vendors(still, will take a while to get 30K..).Even if i had the 30 scrolls it would take a loooot of travels back and forth bank and mapamkers. How do people do it?stack pens and raise it near bank, drawing scrolls as necesary?Or you can stand at mapmaker and resell constantly(does this re-stock their maps?)
I never raised carto

Re: Carto

I don't exactly remember what I did, so that means it was horrible.

I think I re-sold them to a mapmaker (in old Haven, where the bank was right next to it) and got more scrolls from the bank. (no, it does not re-stock their maps)

As for filling the bank with the 30k, I sat in Luna and worked the mages up to 999 scrolls.

Re: Carto

Yes, as vendors restock and demand goes up the vendor quantities go up also.

Buy your scrolls in the SE corner of luna. There are 3 scroll vendors there.

Typically at that shop there are hundreds of scrolls available for sale on each vendor.

The demand on your shard will vary.

Re: Carto

Usually only takes a couple hours to work those Luna Scroll vendors up to 999. Just stop your bank like DiP says.

You'll notice you always here the rustle of paper in Luna...this is why...

Re: Carto

You can resell back to the vendors, which will restock supply. When I did my carto I only got scrolls from Moonglow and New Haven and just hung around the New Haven mapmakers. It was 99 after about 1-2 weeks (since I got bored after, like, 1 hr of doing the same thing).

Re: Carto

I did it a few years go at the mapmakers in the north central end of Serpeants Hold. I bought scrolls from him, made world maps and then sold them back to him. While I was making the maps, the vendor would restock, so I just bought more. I think I also did the same thing in old Haven.

Outside of the boredom of it, I think it went pretty well. But, I seem to remember that after 95, I had to decode lvl 5 maps.

Hope it helps,
Darla

Re: Carto

Yes sir, you are correct. Now that I think about it, I forget also. Hopefully some one will post and clear up my fog bank.
