65 skill enough for deep water?

I wanted to experience training a new fisherman again, so i went ahead and gave birth to a new pirate. This pirate was born with the gift of fishing and his purpose was to excell in his talent. But now the pirate is stunned... he has reached a lvl of 65 and believed he was ready for the deeper waters... but to his amazement he did not catch one fish... is his talent wasted... has he been fooling himself... or does he need 65.1 before entering deep waters... What must the pirate do?

Re: 65 skill enough for deep water?

What I did when this problem hit my fisher was to buy a boat find a spot that the boat splits both deep and coastal waters and fish on the coastal side until the fish were no longer available and then move to a different side of the boat. That really worked for me and the skill gains off the boat were really great. I set the boat off Serpents Hold and when I could fish out of deep water without getting my skill isnt high enough I would run the boat until I got a gain stopped the boat and fished all sides until the fish were not available. Some people say that they were able to GM real quick, but with limited time and patience I think it took me a month of nights. I would sometimes limit my runs to 2 to three full points a day. Hope this helps.

Yes i actually moved to the serverline now and it works perfectly. But what i dont understand is on stratics they say u can fish in deep water from 65 skill, which should be everywhere in deep water, not just along serverline, if i understand correctly... confusing...
