Training Bushido

I started a new Character and for some reason I am having horrible gains at only 42!!!!! I'm not high enough to cash LS, so I've just been casting confidence & counter attack in Shame. Do you gain Bushido only by casting moves, or can you gain by just fighting?

Casting. Get as much MR/LMC with a fast mana leech weapon and keep doing Counter Attack until you get in the 50's, the LS until mid 90's to GM and then Momentum Strike.

Err... I'm sure all you have to do with Counter Attack is cast it (no fighting needed), while with LS and MS you have to atleast attempt to land a hit.

I think I used confidence until I was able to LS... nice thing with confidence is that you can just keep casting it and you'll get gains.... with counter attack don't you need to be fighting?

Nope. Counter Attack will let you cast without having to attack/defend like LS or Momentum Strike. 90% sure on that at least...

I know it will let you cast, but I thought you only got gains if you successfully counter-attacked. I may (probably) am wrong though.

Also costs less mana + higher skill requirement = 100% better than doing Confidence.

I just spammed Confidence anytime I wasnt using any other skill until the mid-50s...then I swapped to just using LS all the time...just letting gain as I go now.

NEW QUESTION

I am playing on Siege Perilous & cannot go to haven to buy skills.
I have a book of Bushido and 1 pt in skill but the min. skill lvl to cast is 25. Is there any where else that I can go to find a trainerl or do I have to hunt a ring and a bracelet that adds up to 25pts...that would suck.

I've been in mid 80s for 4 days with 1 or 2 gains in Bushido and nothing is bringing it up anymore. Nothing.
