Hey all, quick question(s) for anyone -

I'm about to start my first character in AGES on UO on a new account, and I used to play an archer. Well I've been told that Bushido Archers are pretty sweet, and I'm wondering two things -

1 - Should I start with a samurai "class" and then go the archer route, or start with a pick-your-own-skills character and go that route?

2 - What is a good template to build on for a bushido archer? I don't know what skill sets are complimentary for that combo, and any advice is appreciated.

Also - I assume that no matter what I do, the newbie Haven quests are a good idea?

100 Anatomy, 120 Archery, 120 Bushido, 60 Chiv, 100 Healing, 120 Resist, 100 Tactics


start with tactics and antomy.

I'd go with higher dex and start with 50 Healing (I hate raising it low level, personal preference, doesn't matter what skills you start though).

For this type of character, what are good heritage items to get? Lets say I had 5 tokens, legs, and helm. Other than these, what compliment this char?

Haven't checked out those items, but the norm is usually the Hunters Headress or Mace and Shield reading glasses and crafted (or enhanced) leather leggings with good resists and either MR2 or LMC and +HP.

In the end it has to compliment what else you have to wear. You will be looking for combined end stats to...

70's in all resist (or as close as possible)
140+ Dex
Have well over 100 HP
Max HCI/DCI
Max LMC
as much MR you can squeeze in.

Well this is my cup of stuff I personaly know....

bushio is easy from 0 to buy it 40 then in day around 100 and three days to 120
archery is easy 0 to buy it to 40 in a day you will be around 100 in less than thee days 120
tactics is easy 0 to buy it to 40 in day you will be over 100 two days to 120
resist is easy easy easy 0 to 40 buy it train with stuff to 50 and that to 120 is day
anatomy is easy and 0 to buy it to 40 then in day you will be over 100+ two days to 120
healing is easy 0 to buy it to 40 then in day you have gotten to 100 and five days to 120.

Big thing is dont get put in the poison weopen and golem this only works one or four skills at the most. True fighting in dumgens work all your skills you need at one time.

Thing is you have to use right things and right times vs skills to gain the best.... I need to know what kind of bushio archer you want I think personaly I have some of the best pvp or pvm... just tell me what you are looking to work with and i can help you...

Start with 50 healing and 50 resist.... use elf that is a chick they can use every armor there is and any type

Latter you asked for what kind of items

to train you will need nice 70 physical self repair suit so self repair with high physical and if can mana reg or hit reg.

legs and helm are nice then work on the other stuff now this is just for training so you dont have to fix stuff as you train your char.
