Tactics q?

Okay, I broke down, and started making a warrior. Now, I am not new to warriors, but ran into an interesting problem. My tactics is not raising. It is 30.3 (bought to that). My swords is now 75 (started at 50). Anatomy is raising, started at0, now 75. Total skill pts is 640. Tactics is pointed up.

Any idea why I would not be gaining?

Solen, Ogre lords, Artic Ogre Lords, Demons,did a golem for 80 gains (67 to 75).

I believe tactics is like weapon skill. If you don't fight creatures around that skill level, you will not gain or hardly gain. Try fighting mongbats, sewer rats and such. Your tactics should go up but swords won't

Yea thread is kinda closed right now - Tactics are raised the same way as Swords etc...

A tip: Take the Tactics quest in haven and train vs Skellies etc, you should get increased stat gains in old haven until you are at 50 tactics. After that do harpies/stone harpies to at least 70 then do despise/shame lvl1 or whatever for fast and easy gaining.

Ogre Lords are probably a bit too early to start training vs if you just want to max out your potential skill/stat gain.

Paul, just buy tactics to 40 at new haven and do quest to get to 50

i find tatics go up like crazy ...so head to painted caves

Aye ...what ben said...and since you get blackrock type gains while doing quest you should be at 50 in no time

That did it guys, thanks. After hitting 50, went to Solens and started gaining in tactics.

Even us old dogs gots mores to learns. Appreciate all the great advice!
