W-w-w-wat specifically do I need to cast two energy vortex together. High intelligence? Magery higher than 100?

You need high magery to not fail and enough open follower slots as they take 2 slots each if I'm not mistaken.

Which skill is that anyway, Vet, Animal Lore? Gives you more slots... two has always been plenty for me though, just wish you could command them.

Nothing gives you more control slots. It's always 5.

EV takes 2 slots, a horse takes 1. So with a horse, you can cast 2 EVs.

Or without a horse you can cast 2 EVs and a nature's fury.

Why? Because you have to devote 300-360 skill points to get high stable spaces? I think it is fine as is...ANY character has two stable slots to begin with....each stable slot can house anywhere from a 1-5 follower spot pet. If you want/need more than that, then devote skills to it. I think THAT part of the taming system is solid. My only wish is that when you were 120 taming/vet/lore you got a bonust of X number of stable spots above the current system...and I mean REAL skill, NOT jewelled skill. Would reward those who work taming and vet up.

Stable spots is one thing, but I thought you could have more pets with you too. Ah well... disappointing.

Not really. I "believe" this was initiated to eliminate people casting as many EV's at once as they had the mana to muster. Same with having multiple dragons on you. Can you imagine a tamer controlling 10 GDrags?
