Hey everyone... Sorry for the post that you probably have seen a million times. I played UO from 1997 to 1999 and just returned believe it or not. Yes the new client sucked me back in. I will tell ya I think I have missed out this game has changed a ton and has a lot to offer... Anyway...

I enjoy PvP and was wondering if you guys could help me out with a good template. I have read through some of these posts here and would like to hear from some hard hitters in the PvP world. I will also do some PvE as I need to level up and get some cash.

I am still working on my toon so what do you guys suggest.

welcome back. Personally I do not find the KR client very pvp friendly. But if it works for you.

do not worry about reposting questions, many people here do not mind helping.

Why don't you find it PvP friendly? What do you think it is missing?

targeting system, more lag than when I am in 2D. I do not have a new computer but I have more than the recommended/required specs of KR.

I have my newest drivers, Not using Vista. Also the "new" graphics just do not appeal to me. If I wanted new graphics, I would have went to a newer game years ago. But the graphics are just personal taste.

That and the fact that KR stopped patching for me, like 8 months ago.

I have redownloaded it 5/6 times, with every download manager (free ones, I am not paying for a download manager for just one game) I could get...its still corrupted.

Too many people are having too many issues just getting the KR client in the first place. I am tried of being EAMythics QA team.

Honestly I have not had any problems with it. But I do have well beyond the specs. As for UO graphics I am not concerned with that either so I hear you there. I still have the 2d client and am not ruling it out what so ever. I just have not had problems with this yet. I stress yet... I have not had it crash the minute someone jumps me.

I have a mage question for you guys. Why do you guys take wrestling? Can you really do any damage with that? Or does it raise STR or something? Why not take fencing as a weapon skill?

well some mages take up wrestling for disarm and use to back in the day you could stun punch someone. i hadnt played with wrestling in yrs but i believe most who do take it up use it for disarm agains dexxers i believe

you keep wrestling so you don't get hit everytime by a dexxer... the defense chance is based on weapon skill against weapon skill.. so 120 wrestling.. is needed.. or a great mage weapon.

Lets say i have a nice decent weapon. Its a bow -20 mw, sc -1, 40 ssi, 50 DI what would you add to my core skills below? Should I go necro with SS?
