Faster Casting

Alrighty, are there any skills that increase the rate of casting? I got toasted 5 times fighting reapers and freaking imps tonight for quests. They cast so fast - esp the reapers. They can poison, explode, and flame strike me all before I get off two spells.

I'm at 101 magery, 100 med, 99 eval, 75 inscription, FYI...

no skills that increase cast rate just gear...sounds like your resists need some work

I didn't think that resist did anything against flame strike or damage spells? My resist is about 65... I do plan on improving this as well.

armor resists ermerson.

aye the resists on your gear ie. fire, cold, poison etc.

Also, if you are running with Protection spell cast, it slows your casting as well, if I am not mistaken.

Thanks for the info. My resists are low just now because I'm running around with a 100 LRC suit that was kindly donated to me for training magery. I'll look into getting some new armor. My tailor is making progress and I do have a fairly good supply of various leather types from killing dragons, drakes, lizardmen, etc...

One more questions, and thanks for your patience....

Is it possible to have a 100% LRC suit with good resists, or are they more or less mutually exclusive?

yes it is possible....and so begins the search for the perfect suit! LOL actually it is very possible and to have max fc/fcr as well it just takes patience and hard work to get the right match up.
